Climate Changes

Have you all noticed the change in the climate?


I can remember back in 1999-2002 every summer was a drought, one summer my entire back yard turned to sand, and the little creek dried up. The big creek down the road was reduced to puddles and it was over your head deep.

2003 was a good summer, normal.

2004 and so far this summer it has been raining almost everyday and sticky super humid hot. I get sick of this rain, my parents say it use to not be like this. I think this is all contributed by global warming. Is the climate changing for you?

I just thought of something, if you think the earth as alive, global warming is like a fever. The planet is sick from all the cancers(bad people) who are fucking everything up.

 

Climate change is happening so rapidly nowadays it's scary.

 

you can make mad cash mowin lawns with gasless push mowers, most folks say no originally when you ask to cut their grass but then you lay the deal on em about air pollution, rising gas prices, global warming yadda yadda and bam, you got yourself a little job, most people really dig it though, especially seeing someone with some real hard work ethic and dedication, something rare in america today i guess. and i get some funny looks of course but its all good, still so many crazy learnt assumptions flying around this little world. make way more than most jobs too, thats for sure, i made like 100 bills my first day, only now i cant think of anything i wanna buy??plus you save mad cash in gas and oil refills, and the thing was only like a hundred bucks to begin with. it is good to be of service to the community, then something will service you in return in some form or other i imagine, and its good to practice humility. plus your actually doing something there, as opposed to say, most any other job on the market today, truely making a geniuine contribution to the whole, much more than most people can say probably. the grass seems to appreciate it too not having to suck up carbon whatevers after being chopped in half, or maybe thats just my misguided intuition talking, i bet it likes it more than those gas machines though. also try ride my bicycle places and take mass transit when possible obviously, its good to be fit i think and i dont understand why our society looks at health in such a funny way. ah well, maybe ill eventually come across someone who really understands what im doing and will just listen to me, it seems really hard to get people to just listen to you about these kind of things and take you very seriously and really understand where you are coming from, especially the age and position i am ini suppose, but thats life. its good to be understood i think though, and realize its fantastic you care about shit like this....

 

Yeah I've noticed a change. The weather here in the UK seems to always have been a bit unpredictable but in recent years its been worse, like temperature decrease, then the highest ever the next day......its crazy and scary, especially since some people won't even acknoledge the fact that global warming IS an issue and they need to do something about it.

 

It's been changing yes. In Southern Ontario the summer so far has been a blaring 25+ Celcius, up to the 40's for the past two weeks, and it's only June. Its as if the weather is on a teeter-totter bouncing from high to low.

Sad but true, it's something that can't really be stopped.

 

yeah even if we got a better grip on polllution control and went to all hydrogen fuel cell cars and everything, the damage that has already been done will just keep causing the run away green house effect.

 

Its the same Here.. global warming... everysince The 80's The tempreature has been rising a couple degreese every year.. its not good. The ice caps are melting and pritty soon its gona suck for the next generations.. i learned about it in Science. I keep my self Enviro friendly..

weather fluctuates; it always has and always will. youre all overreacting to the situation, especially since there is absolutely no scientific evidence backing up this "global warming" nonsense. its called scare-tactics, the government employs tons of it

now Im not saying that fuel emissions are harmless, but its not worth worrying about in any case cause we will have simply run out of oil in a few years time

but even still.. there is evidence out there to back it up... i think on that website there is.. and in my previous science textbook!.. lol I odn't even think the Government wrote the text book? but what do I kno?!? the government could be lying to us about everything eh Viking? Mabe smoking doesn't really kill.....or smog dosent effect us..hmm hmm?>

 

the summers have really heated up here in ireland the last few years,and if thats due to global warming,then throw some more coal on the fire,and make more cars certainly!!but seriously folks,that flick"the day after"etc,even though the acting is brutal,even though the concept and effects are good,was made to convince americans to vote for signing the kyoto treaty,so it cant be all that bad

 

The majority of accredited scientists (including the panel of specialists chosen by the pentagon) have agreed that global warming is not only real, but a "bigger threat than terrorism". This statement was in a London newspaper article, and was given by an international scientist that worked closely with the commission on global warming, and had access to classified information. The report speculates that in as little as 20 -50 years we will be fighting "resource wars"

As for accredited organizations supporting the global warming theory; NASA, The National Resource Defense Council, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and The World Meteorological Association are a few.

But having said that...viking is right to a point. Weather does fluctuate. Global warming does occur naturally, and ice ages are normal. What's different about this time around is that we (humans) have speeded up the process by a considerable amount. And the fluctuation is coming in terms of centuries, not seasons.

Global heating is real and testeable, is causing severe problems in France(including deaths caused by extreme highs temperatures in old people) and Spain in the past years. This summer will be highest heat.
