HAHAHA!!!! I just finished my father-in-law's shorts to take to Florida this month. He's a HUGE redneck, but when we go to Florida (sadly, not me this year) he turns into the biggest beach bum/tourist... it's a trip! I had him test them before I finished the drawstring/waist and they were PERFECT on him.
And here is the skirt I bought for 50 cents and then added the center section. My wife loves it, and I think I paid like 75 cents a yard for the bluw flower pattern fabric at christmas time. I bought it to practice on, and it actually became useful! I think the colors work.
Thanks! I've been eyeing the fabric for a few weeks, and then remembered their upcoming trip and just had to make him these!!!! The best part, I've got probably 3/4 of a yard of it left over! I'm sure I'll use it for something eventually!!!!!
