hey all. i have been seriosuly starting to look at vancouver as my next destination. my brother lives in seattle and told me that the scene up there is beat and it sucks. only cool thing is you can smoke pot around. i was wondering how the music scene was and the people. i really like being close to mountains, but in a city and i think vancouver is pretty cheap to live in. anyone have any thoughts on this? thanks!

give'r sister!! you will love it!

vancouver has sooo much to offer, and even though there are the bad things you will find in every city, it ROCKS!!

being soo close to the ocean, the mountains, and the rainforest, makes it one of the most desirable cities around. depending on what part of town you live in, there are some amazing areas which still feel like tight communities. Commercial drive (around main) area is super fun, and the shops, pubs, and cafes rock. there is much oppertunity to take the sky train all around the whole city, and enjoy all the amazing gardens. the music scene is almost the best in the country, with many talented locals (be good tanyas!!) filling the air.

so ya...giver..make the plunge..it would be a good change, and a great experience. (and vancouver people are very beautiful too!)
