I saw a kid, probably about 10, in line outside Dairy Queen getting ice cream. I was driving by but I definitely saw him barefoot there. It made me smile. I wish the people I know weren't so closed minded about it so I wouldn't have to hide it. My mom is a shoe freak too, she says I have to wear shoes. She even wears them to the beach! I saw in the paper too that our local library just added a bunch of rules and sure enough nsnsns was in there..........I want to move to NZ, it sounds so much better there.

Where I am I see barefooters alot. But I do spend lots of time at the lake and hiking on some cool trails next to a lake. Young guys and girls mostly but also adults and children. Some don't hike too far and others are ambitious enough to put in a few miles of barefoot hiking. It's been unseasonably warm here and parks and lakes are a great way to cool off and enjoy the summertime.

A couple weeks ago I went to the grocery store to get some stuff for the kitchen at work... Walking around the store with her mom and I assume sisters, was a barefoot girl probably around 8 years old... Because of a miscommunication, I ended up buying the wrong stuff, so I had to go back to the store, and as I was leaving a woman probably in her late 20's was coming in barefoot...

This morning I was in Colorado, looking for a place to park for the parade, and I saw a guy standing on a corner waiting for the signal to cross. He had no shoes, and his soles were pretty dirty...

I personally haven't gone barefoot very much. Just to a couple gas stations like normal... I was going to go to a mall today in Colorado, but they weren't open yet when I went...
