I've just added Toronto Zoo to my list of things to do while I'm there on holiday (8 weeks left yay! :D), and just wondering if its worth the visit? I hear it's quite good but wanted some oppinions. Also are the animals kept in decent sized enclosures, or in cages like they are at most of the zoos here in the UK?

    Thanks for that :)

I'm not a huge fan of zoos usually cause all the ones I've been to havent taken brilliant care of the animals and their enclosures have been really small. If Toronto are really that good then I'll deffently be paying a visit :)

you should deffinatley check it out, i think the areas for like the rhinos is a bit small but most areas are a lot bigger...its just hard to make a large cage in comparison to a rhino.

Well I'm going to be staying with my girlfriend who lives in orangeville, so I get the 'pleasure' of meeting her family for the first time (and I'm nervous as fuck!). It's her 21st while I'm out there so shall be doing general birthday type stuff.

We're going to Niagara Falls on september 5th (I get out there on august 31st, and her birthday's on the 4th) which is gonna rock supremely! Shopping in Toronto of course :p

Theres talk of going to Centre Island, which I think is a huge park on one of the islands (although I'm sure one of the Toronto residents here can confirm). Other than that we haven't planned stuff yet, but theres a couple of months yet :)

Thanks for that info Dangermoose. Would be unbelievable if I saw some in the wild. If I can convince Mercedes that we're driving up there and I acutally see some, then we'll meet up next time I'm over and I'll buy you a pint or 3 :sunglasse

I loved it when we went to the Toronto Zoo, but unfortunatly our camera didn't work, so we missed out on alot of neat pictures..
Next time we're bringing our digital camera.

I should be in Toronto next weekend.. but the zoo isn't on the agenda.
