So I have a camcorder, and maybe 20 unfinished scripts. Problem is, I'm a loner. anti-social chick who writes poetry, sound familiar? every neighborhood has one.

Anyhow, I am making home movies solo. I'm just wondering how i can use this to the fullest. Should i stay behind the cam and narrate? or limit myself to one angle and record myself?

what would you find most appealing to the audience?

I appreciate it, to all those movie buffs out there.

    tripod baby...

and try to limit your self to the shortest scripts at first...with simple sory lines, that dont really have substance...

if you need a couple other people or something, family is a good bet, its not hard to find one or two people willing to do soemting...

do shots that have a a few cut aways, that way it looks like you took many different shots, and skillfully sdited it together, but you just placed some cuts inside a large take...

not sure if any of this helped [ps, yes, i am a filmographer/editer/semi-director...and i have written a couple scripts...]

if you give some of the premises, i might be able to help more...

oh, and if your really super seriously looking into this feild...get a tripod that can also be a dolly [has wheels on the bottom for those nice rolling shots]...its a great thing to have [i wish my tripod wasnt crappy and from walmart]

oh, and steady-cams are good too for a nice steady hand held look [or if you can't use a dolly]...an afternoon with some pipe, a weight and some screws and a drill or two and you have a cheap steady-cam [under 30$ as oppposed to 500-1000$ professional]
