Spent the last year Rocky Mountain way Couldn't get much higher Out to pasture Think it's safe to say Time to open fire And we don't need the ladies Cryin' 'cause the story's sad 'Cause the Rocky Mountain way Is better than the way we had. Well he's tellin' us this And he's tellin' us that Changes it ev'ry day Says it doesn't matter Bases are loaded And Casey's at bat Playin' it play by play Time to change the batter And we don't need the ladies Cryin' 'cause the story's sad 'Cause the Rocky Mountain way Is better than the way we had. Yeah, yeah, yeah -Joe Walsh , this dude knew what was up! I've gotta get to colorado! haha
Yes you do; I'll upload some pictures I took from my backyard and show you how absolutely beautiful it is here... One of the prettiest sunsets after a storm I had ever seen yesterday...
the mountains are really so beautiful in colorado. My grandmother has a cabin up there and every once in awhile we go up there. It is so beautiful to go out in the early morning and look and see the mist clinging to everything. It is so beautiful. I love nature.
Although this has been a wet spring, Colo is gorgeous. Lush still and the snow is till on the peaks of the divide. I walk about a block to the top of the ridge my lil old neighborhood is built on and see the entire Front Range. Really need to get out in them soon. Lots of city crap here, but also some music, the incomperable Red Rocks, Waterton Canyon and the South Platte... Y'know, you definitely pay to live here, but there's no where else I'd rather be for now. When I'm older and don't need to work, looking to Costa Rica.
Rocky Mountain High or I Guess He'd Rather Be in Colorado? Raill Road EArth has a good Colorado song, too. YMSB, now Colo boys, sing about Idaho. Go figure.
Colorado has an amazing climate, snow one day, 75 degrees the next day, then hail the next, it's pretty awesome here. Hey Ocean Byrd I'm also in Ft. Collins, where do or did you go to school?
I lived in colorado while in high school. I went to Aspen high and lived in Woody Creek. HST lived there too. What A crazy dude.
I'm from the east....I came out to colorado for a week to do some serious hiking in the rockies...and to camp. I must say it is awesome....and the weather does change a lot! Wow... I am impressed by that. I will have to say one thing though....I went into boulder to find some greens and hang with some hippies...and it was rough. I didn't find anyone who was open or cool .... I was surprised to say the least since boulder is suppose to be the big hippy town...filled with vw buses and dreads...but I found that the local police are almost harassing towards the town people....and that the hippies have pushed themselves underground to the point in which everyone I talked to was paranoid. Very weird vibe I got....and needless to say no greens. It looks like you really need to be "in". Correct me if I'm wrong please..... But does anyone else feel this way???
I was born in Denver and lived there 27 years. Lived 5 years or so on the western slope also. Denver has changed so much had to get out of there. It used to be a tight large city, too much suburbia for this boy. You have to give Colorado credit it seems to be a place where conservatives and progressives seem to both have a strong voice. It seems to inspire a sense of independence compared to like living here in PA. Denver is one of the suniest cities in the US and very dry. I lived in San Diego for 2 years and that still is the best climate I ever lived in by far. Yeah, I am one of those Colorado boys that wants to live in Idaho where my family and friends can do our thing quietly.
green glitter: we get swamped with drainbows post-gathering, and the pressure has been on with various plants. Just because we ave a buncha alternative types doen't mean the rest of the community digs on us. We are convenient Scapegoats, and a lot of teh old-time hippies run yuppie businesses now.
