Hey Hip people around Oxford, UK... Some Questions!!

My name is Tracy. I'm a 19 yr old African American girl from Chicago who is studying abroad at Oxford this summer. I actually leave for Oxford tomorrow...isn't it exciting?!! Well beyond all that, I was wondering if there were any hippy-sorts/cool people around that area who would like to be friends.. I'm going to be living at and attending Oriel College and I think it'll be a gas... Also I was wondering just how hard it will be for me to find some skunk and/or good quality hash around town...and how much it might cost me..

We are around there sometimes because Jaycees sister lives there. Its definatly a beautiful city and theres a few hippy types round there. i saw another barefooter last time i was there (last monday) and we shared a smile

You can get skunk on mail order from a few take away restraunts and theres a line you can call too just for when your first there and dont know anyone to get it off of. Its NOT legal ...but lets just say we know people We'll talk to Kel and get the low down on the number to call etc if we can before we go away.

Also theres a jamacan bar where they are lax on smoking in oxford called the Jamacan Hi-low cafe, the foods a bit dodgy there apparently but they are pretty ok on smoking. Jaycee says if your a regular you can purchase it there too. It on Abingdon street i think or Cowley road *thinks* one of the two.

As for hanging out then if we are ever over there (as im sure we will be) then we'd be up for meeting up for sure jaycee said we'll take you to the indoor rainforest :d he adopted mer a monkey there and im yet to visit it!!

 

Hey, one of my friends is going to be a gardener at some place called 'Manoir' something in Oxford over the summer.. I might come and visit her... If i do then we could meet up or something. You're welcome to send me a PM

Thanks so much for responding... I am currently in Oxford and GOD is it lovely... I've met some friendly people so far including a few natives. I'm having kind of a hard time figuring out how to approach the natives... often enough I've had them avert their gaze from mine on the road.. some are friendly enough to even say good morning and give me a BIG smile. Fleasy, I'd be most obliged if you would give me the number for skunk delivery and maybe mention a few of the take aways that deliver as well... I'm very much looking forward to smoking up and wandering around this beautiful city... Also if any of you would like to hang out that would be most welcome.. I'll toss you a PM to talk more... Any new replies would be appreciated... Studying abroad is a whole different world. (obviously..lol)

I am really hoping to make it to the next Baraka event... That same weekend I'm going to see Sigur Ros at Glasgow and chilling up there for a bit... I think I'd like it very much to party after the elation that is Sigur Ros. (for me at least...)

i don't... although i'm in reading a fair bit at the moment
due to reasons, which isn't far away!

I'm at uni in High Wycombe, only about half an hour on the bus from Oxford

For nights out if your into live bands at all, get yourself down the Zodiac, have lots of big name signed bands on there as well as smaller unsigned stuff
