Anyone have a source for it and for those who watched the performance, what's your opinion of the performance? I worked all day unfortunately
Okay, that doesn't help me. If it were in FLAC or SHORTEN format I'm good to go, but I know very little about bit torrent.
Breathe was great. Money was good also and fitting even though I would have liked to hear another song instead. Roger almost lost it during Wish you were here and it was touching. Comfortably Numb rocked. Period. Although a little rusty at first, the boys got it together quick during Comfortably Numb and it was a madman. Right before the second solo the Mcs started running their mouth about blah, blah and said something about checking in on Philly and I thought they weren't gonna finish the broadcast and I almost went nuts but obviously there was at least one person with the sense enough to continue. very nice i want more Pink Floyd rocked all the poverty out of Africa.
The guys were great but it's really sad to see most known commercialised hits...breathe was amazing...
breathe was sloppy they started to get it back together during money...... comfortably numb gave me goosebumps
It was all great but Comfortably Numb was the highlight witout a doubt. Dave Gilmour can still play a mean guitar!
if they were going for commercialism they would have played 'see emily play' and 'another brick in the wall'. they chose appropriate songs for the concert that people would at least recognise, they would hardly start up a rendition of 'san tropez' and finish off with a bit of 'remember a day'.
I agree. They seemed to turn a corner and you could feel the energy rising. By the looks on their faces you could tell they were totally getting off on it.
comfortably numb and wish you were here are always so powerful. Those songs are amazing. I was hoping that they would play On the Turning Away, I thought it would be a fitting song for the cause, but hey... you can't have everything.
i am jealous of the air by the speakers that was able to experience the closest to perfection that sound waves have been in a long time...need....tour...
Actually one thing that I noticed was that Roger started playing the opening bass riff to "Money" out of time with the sound fx and Nick came in with the fx, throwing the entire band off for about a second. "Breathe" and "Wish You Were Here" were tight, and "Comfortably Numb" was the best. It was also a nice touch adding in the "Breathe-Reprise". I hope that they do something together soon, like a tour or a series of shows recorded and released on CD and DVD. But I hope they don't do anything too drastic like the Division Bell tour. I don't want music down to a T, I want to see more improvising and jamming like the good old days. The music on The Division Bell's tour was too rehearsed and too planned. Floyd were always at their best jamming out songs or parts of songs. If they do tour and plan to do more of that, I'll definitely go to the show. But say they do like Cream did, and play a series of shows at the Royal Albert Hall or something, I'd definitely make the trip.
