I don't have my belly pierced... i think it's gross. I don't know when the redness will go away, but I heard that it can take anything up to 9 months for your belly button to heal properly. AND, you have really gotta make sure you clean it properly everyday.

Have you bought the sea salt soak for your piercing? If not, you might want to go back and get it...that will help the healing process along some.

eh..i think belly button pericings are cute :)

but anyways, i just got mine done a few weeks ago, and its fine now. i think 1-2 weeks its pretty much healed. like, i changed mine belly ring within a few days. its still 'red' around it but thats like a scar. scars get tan after a whiles anyways.
get some Bactine....the spray kind. and just spray it good a few times a day, and u wont go wrong! :)

a belly button piercing can stay red for up to a year....but if you have any crusty looking skin or any kind of green or red discharge go see your piercer because it is a good chance that it is infected. otherwise it is okay but it does take awhile to heal my dear:)
