I'd have been the same... oh you lucky little thing you Sounds like you all had fun as usual... looked amazing on TV
Brian Wilson... The White Stripes... Primal Scream... all highlights Loved wandering round Leftfields chatting to the people at the stands and the hip hop version of Rock the Casba Finding my wellies Getting trashed at the sacred stones Wandering round the craft fields and the bars in the greenfields listening to beat poetry and accoustic sets Great convos with Jonny The films at the Solar Picture House The sunshine !!!!!!!!!! Finding the Norwich Anarchist's stall... rick's rants rule The smiling faces and lovely friendly people Meeting Pippin and Jon (sorry about Cromwell guys ) Almost, but never quite meeting up with my mate Merlin The amazing free food and great people / chanting and dancing at the Krishna tent Monday... I loved just chilling out in the sunshine with Jon and Jonny on Monday... watching the commercial side of glasto be unassembled and the Greenfields still thriving with amazing people... roll on the Big Green Gathering!!!!!!!!!!
I quite like Primal Scream, but I thought they did an awful live show. It just bored me to death really, they really lacked any energy I thought. They wouldn't leave the stage at the end of their set, and they got the power switched off on them in the end. If it was me, I'd have turned the power off after the first song....
Hey everyone, Ned here (just in case you didn't realise - good guess Kat!) ... Best Glasto moments: Arriving up at the campsite for the first time, and all you wonderful people being so nice to me, despite the fact that I was a complete stranger Managing to prolong the whole "Kat's a potato-stealer" joke for the whole weekend Being speechless when Jonny reminded me that the Welsh suffered under Irish oppression for hundreds of years (but it's ok coz everyone seems to conveniently forget that now!) Hearing about Yun Yo (or was it someone else entirely??) Strawberry Cider with John, Sal & Kat Repeated excessive drinking with John, Sal & Kat! The Sparticus phenomenon Excuse me, do you know, is this the way to Amarillo? Falling asleep up at the stones on Sunday night, and waking up to find myself covered in loads of jackets - I could feel the love! Introducing Rosie, Kat and Kieran to Jerry Fish - I think it's safe to say that they liked him! Prolonged punning - some of which may have been slightly anti-Semetic, but all of which were meant in good taste and in good fun (please don't kill me!) Musically: Stripes' "Jolene" on Friday night The last three songs of the Killers set Teenage Kicks (repeatedly dedicated to the big man!) Chris Martin changing the words to Politik Fix You - incidentally, was the last song on The OC on Tuesday night and I got shivers all the way up my spine thinking of how Coldplay closed their set (strange but true!) Brown-Eyed Girl Good Vibrations Like Kat, I just have loads of little moments where I remember thinking "Wow, I'm having the best time ever!" - mostly thanks to the eight or nine people I was with! Worst moment would have to be leaving on Monday morning, knowing that I wouldn't be back till 2007 - and even worse, knowing that I might not see some of my new mates again before then .... I think it's probably safe to say that I had a pretty amazing weekend - John would probably tell you the same if he would stop touching kids and sign up to the forum! Ned
I hate you all with spleen undeminished you cunts... Mind you... I laughed myself senseless at Ian Brown's "singing"... Fly...
I take it you didn't manage to sell manyn tickets to Flystock then? Ahh well, there's always Beautiful Days. You're coming aren't you? Finally, The Fly unmasked! I'm expecting you to look something like Geoff Goldblum....
Of course you will!! You guys HAVE to come to Beautiful Days...you promised! Then you'll see us all (if I can convince Ali to come) again, plus many more, such as Fly...who probably didn't leave a very good first impression with that last post! Anyway, I'll be over in Dublin in October anyway, so I may bump into you on purpose. Oh, by the way, if you hadn't worked it out...Mercy = Rosie
This is so wonderful, seeing how close your community is. I'm just a bit jealous. If only the US were smaller and friendlier....Oh well, I've met two forumers so far and am meeting two more, your own FLEASSY AND JAYCEE!!!! The rest of you, I'm sure I'll meet sometime. Glad to hear Glasto was a blast....Now where are the pictures? `
http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101425 some photos sadly the only day I took a camera out was the worst day . where we were camped there was no flooding and on most of the site there was no flooding . but from my photos you would get the impression that it was really awful. really it was really sunny I got real bad sun burn and couldnt walk about on a couple of days because it was to hot . the flooding really only effected people camped at the bottom of a valley I think it was on of my favourite every glastonburys but went too quick FLEASSY AND JAYCEE are great I hope you have a great time with them
Yeh it went soooo quick this year! My shoulders are now starting to peel, I've never been so brown, my workmates are convinced I actually went to spain for the week not Glasto! It wouldn't be Glasto without having to get your wellies out for a day... luckily it only rained 3am to 1pm Friday whilst I was fast asleep in my tent. I feel so sorry for the people who camped in the dip though, you'd think people would know about the possible floodin by now pleh.
Ha... I'll have to see what I can manage in the time between now and Beautiful Days... I'm already thinking carefully carefully about my wardrobe dharrlings... black, black and a little more black methinks... GothFly...
Nice to Glastonbury was good for you all, it brought many a smile to my face, sitting in the living room, also. And Fly go for the tie-dye.
