Right now I work for Wendy's. It suxs major. I'm trying to find a new job but all I have is a highschool diploma, no car, and live in the middle of nowhere. I'm really want to find one that will pay enough so that I can move out of my house. If I perchance got a car what would you guys suggest for a 19 year old kid? Any suggestions would be very helpful - thanx

Have you considered college? It's a great place to be while you're trying o decide what you want to do in the long run. You can usually get work through school.
Also if you qualify for financial aid that would help you get a place and maybe find a job in town.

College is alot more fun than high school, btw.

If money's a problem you could start out in a junior college.

Have you ever thought about working for a temp agency? A lot of temp work is long term and some is temp to hire. The downside is no benefits usually. Upside is you will probably get treated more like a human being and I have found temp jobs to offer some flexibility. Some companies like to see what they are getting before they hire fulltime, so they go with a temp. Just a suggestion.

Eh... All the decent-paying jobs I know that don't require some kind of schooling all involve labour.

Try sales. It sucks too but usually pays better and alot are willing to start someone out with no experience. You have to be an outgoing kind of person though.

I just quit my job on Saturday. I'm now looking for anything, basically. I already have moved out and live with my boyfriend in our own house.. and those bills add up quickly.

I totally agree with this. Go to college if you can afford it. If not, my friend took out a student loan and got her BA. You can get a job through the school, though I did not do that when I went. I graduated with an AA in Liberal Arts. You have to think about the future, and independence will come with hard work. Don't take the easy path. If you have your head screwed on tight, anything is possible. Be true to yourself. Try not to worry about everybody else, that's what I have learned. What are you good at? Good life awaits.....
