awesome!! stupid thread, but i'm glad a history forum has been opened.. i'm excited hopefully i can think of some great topics to discuss...... okay, how about i ask a few questions... any other history majors out there? or just history buffs? i think i'm going to teach it to secondary school students eventually, but have considered going on further to get my masters and maybe my phd.. but that will be later on in my life. oh god, i feel like such a nerd. (hopefully somebody will respond to this )
I was going to be a history major, until I realized that college wasn't any better than high school, just people trying to fill their course hours and get a paycheck I'm a history buff though, I love history of war and things hidden, strategies, equipment, that sort of thing, mostly because the means of transit fascinate me and I embrace my baser destructive human instincts there is nothing cooler than a p-51 ripping apart a zero with hot lead, nothing........ unless the pilot walks away, that's cooler.... any warrior deserves his life, sadly it rarely is as such.......
Well I was going to be a history major. Instead I ended up majoring in philosophy, I still don't know why. If I go to grad school I'll go for history though.
I know we talked alot at last year's Gathering, but I can't remember if we ever talked about history or philosophy. I don't think you even told me you were a college grad. Did you get to this year's Gathering at all?
