Short retro dress...

I fell in love with this starburst fabric at first site...
This lil dress is so comfy...and i made the back super adjustable so pretty much anyone can rock it...

cute dress! do you use patterns at all, or just make it up as you go along? i sew all the time, but can't follow a pattern to save my life. people call me 'creative'; i think i'm a bit more on the 'retarded' side of things...oh well....

I do use patterns at times...I can muck my way thru them ok...
for this dress tho I did it totally on my own..i only had a strip of the brown cord so I made the bodice more of a strip than i usually do...I made the patchwork at the bottom first and based my panel measurements on the final measurement of the patchwork...
Im more than a bit on the 'retarded' side of things as well...i smoke way too much pot..its a wonder i can operate my sewing machine at times...lol
That is when I do my best sewing tho

That's beautiful! I love that starburst fabric! My mom used to have a set of dishes in the '70s with a pattern like that on it..
