I haven't posted any of my work in forever, because my USB cord went MIA. Found it today! Yeah me! Here are a couple of my paintings... I am a big Goup of Seven fan. 1st one is very Gof7, eh?
I am no art critic, but I really like the flowers you painted. Reminds me of Georgia O' Keefe. Very pretty, beautiful even. You are good.
Yeah.. the last is very sexual with the curving petals and the piston sticking up. The colour is very sexual too.
awesome stuff, the shine on the petals on the 2nd one makes me almost think they petals are wax... which is cool. Were these done from still lifes or u created them from ur head? the 1st one makes me think of a woman wearing a hooded cloak or something, and shes holding an infant up against her shoulder. with one arm underneath the baby supporting her wieght and the other kinda around its neck/head
Thanks Hippievixen and Disconformitized! Sometimes I take my camera and go flower hunting. I sneak up on them when they aren't paying attention and take some candid photos... Once I have it roughed in on the canvas, it just goes where it wants to. I dig shape and organic line... and colour theory, there there are usually a lot of those 3 in my paintings.
