Only 2 million americans tuned in to watch live8, thats pretty pathetic considering a new sitcom in the states gets like 20 million viewers, and a historic special on helping poverty that had 1.5 billion viewers worldwide had only 2 million americans watching.
Why should they? I watched alot of different people perform in London, NY, Rome, Paris, Canada and Berlin and got to see the whole performance of each, because I diddn't watch it on TV and watced it online. In the UK I hear the BBC broadcast the whole London concert withouth interuption, in America MTV and VH1 just suck at life when it came to broadcasting the actual concerts.
There wasnt really any reason at all that I would have wanted to see it. For one thing, it was on MTV, and even their commericals suck ass. For another thing, there really wasn't any band I wanted to see playing anyhow. So I just skipped the whole thing.
i watched it on mtv for about 15 minutes, it was nothing but interviews with actresses who have nothing to do with poverty or music. besides, i dont think a concert is the answer to all/any of africa's problems.
No band at all? Pink Floyd? Velvet Revolver? The Who? U2? Paul McCartney? Neil Young? Motley Crue? Sting? Bon Jovi? Def Leppard? REM? Deep Purple? Bob Geldof? Dave Matthews Band? The Cure? Duran Duran? Sheryl Crow? Audioslave? Roxy Music? Tom Cochrane Greenday? Bryan Adams? Jet? Gordon Lightfoot Coldplay?
I was driving all day on Saturday. I probably would have watched some of it I remember watching all of the first one
bullshit. not even that many people in the world have access to a television set, and even if they did, I doubt that an entire 6th of the world population would care about watching live 8
You sure aboot that? If that is true that means that aboot 5/6,give or take, of our earth's population don't have t.v. smarty pants.
i dont watch television so why would i watch this...i signed the website though...so people can do their duties in other ways.
I was at work all day and I despise MTV. Had it been on a network that broadcasted the whole thing uninterupted, I probably would've watched it.
thats probably not an accurate number, its based on surveys and stuff.. so not everyone was counted. but, i guess its not a good number anyway
