Ya know, ive always been a fan of gump, but irecently saw it again and payed close attention.....WOW. the movie is amazing. i felt like iw as actually in the movie. so many tear jerking scenes, yet so many hysterical scenes. jenny is truly a catch too. i would so have a crush on jenny...if she was real and all. that sean penn is a lucky man. tom hanks is phenomenal. i cant say enough good things about this movie...not to mention, Abbie Hoffman....gotta love em. "I mean the war in Viet-fucking-nam"....thats the best scene in thewhole movie, right after that forest and jenny get together in the lake. simply breathtaking!! peace and love adam ps-"i believe he said he had to go pee." -President John F. Kennedy
its so great! the part where she on drugs and goes to the roof and almost slips freaks me out! its so real i feel like im going to fall.
by far my favorite movie... I could almost quote the whole thing. "I'm sorry I had a fight in the middle of your black panther party"
One of the best movies ever. The books are really good, too, although somewhat different. Gump is a little less innocent and a bit more street smart in the books, and a lot more happens. Jenny isn't quite so nice, but they have a LOT of sex. The sequel is called Gump and Company. In the first scene (the books are narrated by Forest) Gump says, "If anyone ever wants to make a movie about your life, don't let um." I actually laughed out loud while reading these books.
i agree, it's an awesome movie, i just saw it again recently...however, i don't really like jenny that much, i mean, i just didn't think she treated forest as well as she should have.
i love this movie. especially the part with "abbie hoffman" and then jenny is running through the water there. i think that part is beautiful. and the movie goes over a lot of history. its great (obviously they change things some, so he can be there and all, but you know what i mean). i didn't know it was a book too. i'm so excited now!
That's it I have to watch it tonight! err...I love it so much everytime I think about it I have to watch it again...its been several times in the short while...I love the scene at washington...I always loved watching Jennys life...with the hitch hiking, panhandling, protesting... and it was so funny I always loved it as a child (even turned me onto Everybody must get stoned by Bob Dylan) but I never even considered until like 2 years ago all the important people in it, like dear sweet Abbie...and all the social signifigance weaved in the plot... man, forest did everything...
i love that movie and i cry everytime i watch it in multiple scenes in the movie. the best quote is "im sorry i had a fight in the middle of your black panther party."
Forest Gump is one of my very favorite movies of all time, if not the THE one. Tom Hanks is wonderful in it.
The movie was very realistic;especially the combat scenes from vietnam and the anti war protest scene at the Lincoln Memorial. That's what it was like boy's and girl's.
This is my favourite movie. I love the scenes where hes at the black panther party, the protest with abbie hoffman and when he runs for years on end.
great job, now i have to go buy it its been so long since ive seen it but its definitely on my top movie list!!!!!!1
