So I've been interested in dreading my hair for a while...a long while...Since I was maybe 14...and everytime I mentioned it, my best friends would laugh at me, like I were making a joke or something... But, tonight, waiting for Brian to get home from Canada, I was so bored, I started back-combing my hair... And I'm not seriously making dreads...I just back-combed it in one big mass of dreadi-ness....I'm going to let nature take its course now... I was wondering...I have Burt's Bees peppermint shampoo....is that good soap for newly-dreading hair? And do I have to wear a stocking on my head to bed? or can I just let nature do it's thing completely? I NEED HELP!
wow so is like ur whole head in one huge mass? cuz if it is then u might want to at least seperate them so it becomes dreads otherwise it will stay like that wont it?
umm, not too familiar with the burts stuff. i know dr bronners works really well for dreading hair. you dont have to wear a stocking on your head at night, i dont and mine are actually starting to do their thing. just keep your patience and play with your hair and dont be afraid to rip them to get some dreadies instead of a huge one. and yeah, just chill, my hair always looks like shit, but i think its cool. very natural looking and im loving every crazy look i get.
