I've just ran out of shampoo & don't want to get the dreadlock shampoo what shampoo's / bars can anyone suggest & where to get it from. I should realy know this but I've been getting the Dreadhead shampoo stuff & is getting quite expensive :H
I use Dr.Bonners soap and a knotty boy shampoo bar. Sometimes I also just use a locally made hemp soap bar jsut because it smells so good.
Hey swampy, i'd say just go for some natural soap... have a look around the shops and see if theirs a body shop or a health place which sells natural soaps! I don't know if you've got 'Lush' up there, but thats good for natural soaps.. i think it even has a proper dready type soap. But, just like i said.. look for something with no chemicals in or conditioning effects and your sorted!
Cool, looks like I'll have to go into brum then, there's a lush there not much health type of shops in Wolves but will look anyway [edit] just been on line & ordered some stuff from www.Shop4EssentialOils.co.uk not sure what it's like but will let you know
damn it, i thought i'd found a reason for you to come visit ... i hoped lush didn't excist up there and you'd JUUST have to come see me whilst buying some nice soap!
Yeah, dreadhead shampoo is really expensive. I've heard Dr. Bonners works really good. I just use regular shampoo without conditioner... usually tea tree shampoo, but whatever's in my shower works. So far, I haven't gotten any mildew from buildup or anything. Perhaps it's because I only wash the roots.
Knotty Boy have just brought out their shampoo in liquid form. I've ordered some, so shall let you know whether it's worth investing your pennies.
I've just got some Lavender & tea tree shampoo bars from www.shop4essentialoils.com it's only £2 a bar & it's quite good, leaves your hair smelling realy fresh & clean
