MMO's Addiction

Discussion in 'Computers and The Internet' started by Deleted member 17362, Jul 5, 2005.

  1. I couldn't play my favourite (guild wars) for a few weeks because my graphics card was out, got a new one and I'm back, this time I don't want to become as heavily addicted though..... anyone else have this problem?

I still love the game though, and want to enjoy it, if you see me in there (Sarnus Archenblade e\mo lvl 20 aeromancer or Gothan The Unclean R/N lvl 20) look me up...

set a timer when you start up, so it nudges you back into reality and limits the amount of play you get. I usually have the tv on, so I notice when the hours change (ie there's nothign good on at midnight so I often shut down the puter and go to bed then)

mmmm GW so good. haven't played in a few days though.

I keep the tv on, because it's sitting right there and I may aswell. But I still lose myself in the game and go 5 or 6 hours without realizing it's been more than 20 minutes. I don't really have a method for trying to solve this problem, but it's summer vacation, and I'm a kid, so whatever :p

I play Guild Wars, am not addicted at all.
    Try difrent things like me.
I have lots of fun trying to search for cracked software, or keylogging people because i have somthign targeted on thier computer that i want, and when i accomplish these things, i get a form of personal satisfaction + the object i wanted! i also play counterstrike and use forums like these all to keep me occupied. But the biggest thing of all, i have a girlfriend. I was underemployed now i am unemployed, still the same.
