for me it's mostly 5 times a week, for some reason I just can't do it on weekends, it feels more like a chore rather than enjoying it like I always do. so how often does everyone else work out, be honest lol......
i've been swimming 4 days a week. pretty much doing what i did during my swim practices up at school.
i have stairs...therefore dont feel as though i need to work out... but i sometimes do when its that time of the month...
I used to work out just about 7 days a week, power walking mostly. This went out the window when my 2 year old twins were old enough to protest stroller rides and my 5 year old didn't want to go either because I go too fast for him. I suggested him riding his bike instead of walking, but when he rides his bike, I'm worried to death that he won't be able to stop at the intersections and get hit by a car because he's still a little wobbly on his bike and still mastering the hand brake. So if he's way ahead of me and can't stop his bike, it's dangerous. But now, I mainly get my exercise from dancing while doing the household chores and cooking, as well as chasing after kids all day and constantly picking up after them. Keeps me pretty active. Except, right now I'm unfortunately not able to do a whole lot with my stupid broken fifth metatarsal bone in my right foot. Hurts likes a sun of a gun still, and it was nearly 3 weeks ago that it happened. I hope I can get back to normal soon. I hate not being able to be as active as I normally am. Course, I'm sure it didn't help when I stubbornly carried both my twins down the steps at the same time, something which I always do normally, but having to wear one of those orthepedic shoes to help the healing process had me off balance and I fell down the steps with my babies on either hip. Luckily, we slid down, I was more concerned about them getting hurt than I, but in the process, I landed back on my broken foot. Grrr. This darn thing is never going to heal at the rate I'm going.
I love steps too Shroom. Whenever I have the option of using an elevator or the stairs, I opt for the stairs. I prefer the exercise. Just like when I go to the store, I always park in the farthest away spot just to take more steps in my day. I also have stairs in my house. An upstairs and a basement. I'm up and down them quite a bit throughout the day.
i work out on my lunch break..that way it doesnt take away from time i have with my daughter i dont go to the gym on the weekend but am generally pretty active, if i dont have a beer or glass of wine in my hand
