What a great concert!! I sat on my arse from 1pm till about 1am.. till I finally crashed out

Did anyone watch it? I thought it was all just spot on..

I was thinking macca would be my highlight and he nearly was..

But PINK FLOYD blew me away.. I'm not a fan at all.. I just enjoy comfortably numb, from the Pulse album..
I can't get over how spot on they were.. and just how natural they looked as if they never did break up.. unbelievable!!!

I could just tell in their faces that they were having a ball.. I don't think they wanted to stop

I hope they don't stop.. I for one would definately go see them if anything happened.. and you never know.. the amount of old bands these days that have reformed.. Its unreal.. we are all very lucky!!

Also enjoyed.. macca, keane, scissor sisters, the who and a ton more I forgot;)

  2. it was great.... I watched mostly london......

I thoroughly enjoyed The Who. Pink Floyd were great as well.

Did anyone notice Dido going off key in every song she sang, except maybe Seven Seconds? :p

And did anyone see The Who's roadie gesturing and mouthing "get him off" as Peter Kay tried to lead the crowd in "Amarillo" while he was trying to soundcheck? :p

It was good I thought, I thought each band would do more songs though. Pink Floyd however, they were amazing. :)

Madonna was awsome!! It really moved me when Bob Geldof and the African girl entered the stage to show that aid really worked and works.
Annie Lennox also ruled the audience. She's still so good, just like back then!

It was a good gig! had its good and bad moments... As long as it raises the awareness I don't mind! Shame about the seperation between those who got free tickets through text and those who paid.

i'm more sick of the slagging him off trend, if somebody talks about something they believe in in the public eye more than once, they become preachy whiners, this feller (and of course the fucking giant team behind him) have created the biggest concert in the world twice to raise money for good causes, and to be honest i couldnt give a fuck if his ego continually inflates and a few rich old rock stars try to feel better about themselves while its going on, live8, geldof and bono's posturing may not make any considerable difference, but its brings issues to the public eye with familiar faces...at the very least its certainly not doing any harm and i wish people would shut their whining about it.

pink floyd were fucking incredible though, you were right about that.

    First Post (the positive one)

I was lucky enough to be at Hyde Park in the audience that day, and it was a day I will never forget. The combination of the two things I am most passionate about - music and the development of third world nations - was so moving and inspiring, I enjoyed every moment...even Robbie Williams who I hate with a passion.
I cried like a baby during The Who and Pink Floyd too...those few songs meant so much!
Awesome day...but fucking tiring. I started queuing at 5am, and didn't get back to Yorkshire til 6am the next morning...then had work at 10am! Definitely worth it though!

    AMEN!!!
I don't have a clue why people get so rude and uptight about rock stars giving a shit about the third world. They have been placed, by the public, in a role where they have a massive influence over a massive amount of people. And it is a absolutely wonderful thing to see stars like Bob Geldolf and Bono using this as a POSITIVE tool. So many rock stars think its cool to not give a shit and promote things that...lets face it...should not be promoted! They act cool and whatever, and thats all very well if that is all you're interested in. But here is a group of rock stars who are raising awareness about the most important problems this world faces, and people have the audacity to bitch about them!
Now how does that make sense?
Obviously these people who manage to complain about all the Geldolf has done have done a lot more right?? They have used their gifts and position to their full potential in helping others, right? Didn't think so. So maybe they should stop trying to look like they care more by complaining, and support this amazing idea that Geldolf and Bono have. The soladarity that people are showing is not to boost egos, but to boost AWARENESS and help the CAUSE.
    Thank you, good night.

well done fagility35, lets face it snoop dog should have pissed off to the will smith gig i hate him singing about himself. if anyone's boosting the ego its him AND mariah carey who faked looking good with the choir as a tool to look like a part of it when she rustled them up. she just shook her ass off infront of the audience (INCLUDES ME!!!) and went on too long and fussed about mic' setc AHH AWFUL!

razorlight and velvet revolver summed up the worst of rock for me
