Anybody who visits the Netherlands should visit the Efteling. It beats definately 'Warner Brothers' movie land and 'Disneyland Paris'. It's theme is every fairytale you can think off. It is said that mister Disney himself checkt this park out before designing the first Disney amusement park. The Efteling is designed by Anton Pieck. An great artist. next trip over there i am taking my kid i have very faint memories of a long necked goblin and trash cans saying 'papier hier - papier hier'
yeah... great stuff there! Always love it.. besides the fairy tale stuff there are a few (small) rollercoasters, a sick-in-your-stomach ship kinda thing and a wild water rafting thing, so it's nice for older kids as well (plus for the grownups )
For some reason I'm not so fond of the 'laaf' people by the way.. maybe because they're pretty new addition and very hyped.. their village is cool though, but the chubby folk somehow annoy me.. hehe..
hehe true.. yeah.. although the stairs in the fantasy shop Chimera (close to the Dam) do that as well
