No...Syd Barett is just completely burnt out, mad, crazy, whatever you wanna call it. None of them are dead, and may they live as long as possible<3.
totally...yeah... Live at Pompeii isn't just the best music dvd i have, its also the best dvd i have, fullstop. its a unique insight into the worlds most amazing band! i can't count the number of times i've seen it now... hehe... i think they should have released it as an album too, its brilliant.
Do they build a wall in the Live at Pompeii DVD? Man, I would give my left nut (if i had one) to have seen Pink Floyd during those 2 years back in the day when they toured for The Wall They erected a huge wall on stage, but I think someone got hurt so they stopped it... Anyways, Pink Floyd rocks!
No. Please do your research before saying such stupid things. Live @ Pompeii is a more earlier and psychedelic Pink Floyd. The Wall is from 1979 and Live @ Pompeii is from 1972
I first saw 'PinkFloydLiveAtPompeii' on video-tape around 1983-85.I was impressed by the soundtrack & especially the cut-aways to clay-figures & lava-flows in colour filters. I think it would have been especially good to savour on the big screen in 1972. Incidentially - I thought the Floyd-re-union at Live 8 was atrocious & I wish it hadn't happened.
I have Live at Pompeii as well, & yes, it's awesome, but pretty much anything Floyd is great by me (hehehehe). And Syd may be, um, a bit left of the center, but he was awesome in his prime & I still love 'im.
