I went to hit some balls at the driving range and as always I was barefoot. there was a father and son a few spaces back from me, the son was about 10 or so and made the comment "dad, that guy isn't wearing shoes". I didn't hear any comment from "dad" but as they were leaving, they passed by me and the kid says "hey, peace out man .... peace out man". I turned to look and the kid was giving me the peace sign. I of course returned the sign to him, his dad smiled and put his hand on his son's shoulder and gave a little hug. It made my day and gives me hope. peace out little man, bob
Son: That man's not wearing any shoes? Dad: That's cuz he's a dirty tree hugging, berkenstock wearing, lillith fair going, dope smoking, tie dye wearing hippie. Son: Really? ((eyes wide)) What do they do Dad? Dad: Well, son, they ruin the economy by not contributing to corporate America while they go on their little peace crusades? Son: How do you know Dad? Dad: Cuz I was one, 20 years ago, tell him peace out, you'll see! Son: Peace out man.... peace out! ((walking away)) Dad: See, I told you son, now stay close in case he tries to steal my wallet and we have to make a run for it.
I forgot to add the part where the dad shows his son the best rolling techniques when they got to the car.
