I know there have been a number of threads about this but i want to make a point i don't think has really be emphasised.
Obviousely its great that no one we know on the forums was involved in this awful incident, but that doesn't make it alright. The people who died have families and friends, and just because we never actually met them does not mean we should write it off-'oh its alright, no one i knew was hurt'.

Every single person on this planet is your brother and your sister, and these bombs killed some of them. Im not asking you to be all depressive or get angry at it. All i am asking it for people not to just forget about it, but to send prayers and blessings to those who did die. No, you may not know their names but you do know what it is to be human, and thats what they were too. No different to me, no different to you.

Please take the time to send some love and kind thoughts to those who have been affected and also to the people who carried out this awful act. Can you imagine what issues they must have had to do this? I know this will get a mixed response but please try to keep this thread clean of hatred or anger. Haven't we already seen there is too much of this in the world....

*bless those who have been hurt or died from the London bombs, may their hearts find peace...namaste*

    with loving kindness

It's a nice sentiment to pray for the injured, their families, those who were killed.

As regards the perpetrators, I doubt it will do much good.
Let's hope they are caught quickly and locked away where they deserve to be.

A little over 65 years ago, Nazi Germany threw the full might of the Luftwaffe into bombing London into submission. They failed. It was during one of these nightly raids, broadcasting live from a rooftop (with explosions heard in the background) to the United States, American newsman Edward R. Murrow remarked: "What a puny effort to destroy this great city".
From a different broadcast, he reported while he was surveying the damaged and destroyed buildings, people suddenly left homeless brought on by the previous nights raid when he noticed a sigh in front of a church. The sign read: "If your knees knock, kneel on them."

The news reports of ordinary Londoners on the street being broadcast on American TV has a general theme. While the despair for lost loved ones felt today equals the grief endured long ago, one thing is for certain. The Terrorist failed in their mission. Once again, London shall not be bombed into submission. It didn't work 65 years ago and it will not work today.

This was a puny effort to destroy a remarkable people.

i'm so glad i've seen someone else say this. i post on another forum, a music related one, and i kinda mentioned that - that the consequences of bush and blairs war is what happened in london on thursday happens every day in iraq, and that innocent people killed in an attack in iraq is no different to innocent people killed in london - and i got cussed big time :( apparently saying stuff like that means i'm showing compassion and understanding to terrorists ...

thank you hip forums for making me realise i'm not mad, its only the world that is ...

The consequences of bush and blairs war what about the consequences of the thousands of religous nuts who are going to Iraq to behead people or suicide bomb .

but yeh they dont exist and everything is the wests fault right

There is a independant agenda behind suicide bombing that has nothing to do with the west, dont keep thinking that europeans are that important its a form of racism

that is one of the consequence of the war though isn't it? were there thousands of religious nuts beheading people and letting off bombs before the war? was iraq the breeding ground for terrorists that it is now before the war?

memo to self - its not the world thats mad, it is me :&

I'd like to send out my prayers & condolences to all in the UK & abroad. I know it's hard in times like this to keep the faith. But remember, karma is the last true form of justice. Hang in there.
