I am so mad at myself. I had to work overnight this weekend and I totally forget to get tickets to see Ben Harper. One more reason why my job blows. He's playing at the Vic, vhich is my absolute favorite venue. Right up the street from my place. I am on a mission to find tickets. Wish me luck.
yeah, we tried to get tickets to the Orange Peel in Asheville, but they sold out in less than 1 hour. Damn. But we did manage to get tickets to Tabernacle in Atlanta, which is the last show on the tour, so that's good news at least. I think we're still gonna try to go to Asheville though...
Wow seattle tottally sold out, I'm suppose to go to that show, i can't beleive he sold out that quickly-
I did the same thing... but have no excuses like work. I'm just a space case lately. *whistles 'if I only had a brain'* TIP: If you register to become a 'VIP' with WXRT(.com), you can enter to win tickets, but you've gotta act fast since the contest only runs a short while. Good luck PS - The Vic is the best!
Nasty good or nasty bad? I caught them at Bonnaroo last year and was very impressed. My last visit to the Vic was for Jeff Tweedy's solo benefit supporting Kawasaki disease. Good luck on the BH tix... hopefully we'll both make it in!
They just e-mailed me the good news. I can't believe it. I'm on the proverbial 'guest list'. Woo-hoo!!!
where did you win a place on the guestlist from. xrt? i'm checking craigslist like its my job looking for tickets but nothing has come up. i'm planning on hanging outside the vic that night and hopefully i'll find an extra. galactic was nasty good. definatley one of the best live shows i've seen in chicago this past year. along with chicago afrobeat project. i just can't get enough.
I actually got in to the show in seattle when I went. Me and my friend luckily found a scalper and bought some GA tickets and we ended up 15 ft away from Ben at the Moore. But to tell you the truth it wasn't as good as a concert as I thought it would be. It was very slowpaced, with only a few fast songs. Luckily he did open up the concert with Ground on Downand ended it with my own to two hands with some other rock singer-But the concert didn't impress me that much- but it was still a ok show
My sister was at the Seattle show and said it blew her mind! She said he just played his sexy little heart out for hours. The other rocker was Eddie Vedder.
