"I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was." Does this not make sense to anybody else?
Ahaha... I've actually spent time wondering about that line, too. I never know what the hell he's on about... bars, wanting to talk about how self-centered he is, and putting footwear in peoples asses.
"I'm not as good as I once was..." I think i understand this line...he once was good, but not very good anymore. ...but I'm as good once as I ever was." and now...well im guessing this means he actually was good once when he once was back then. But he said he once was never really good, so now i just think he is a lier, and i wont believe another word he says. But i truely have no idea what that really means
Toby Kieth is a drunken, stupid, self centered redneck. Harsh words maybe, but I'm yet to discover a song of his not about drinking, sex, or Americans kicking people's asses.
Ahaha... I have to say, I do like Beer For My Horses... but only because of Willie Nelson. If you haven't heard already, Willie is putting out a Reggae album soon. The whole thing started when he was messing around with Peter Tosh's band at a studio in LA in 1995...
But who would be your favorite...? If I have anyyyy, I'd have to go with Johnny Cash for his songwriting/contributions and Vince Gill for his maaaaaad skillzzzz... I suppose Sonny Landreth is on the border of country stuff, though he's most famous for his zydeco, playing with John Hiatt in the Goners, and playing guitar in Clifton Chenier's band. Hank Williams Sr. and III are also quite great. I don't like Hank Williams Jr. He's too... red state and political. Same reason why I don't really care a whole lot for Charlie Daniels or Lynyrd Skynyrd... though I like their music, I really don't care for Jr.'s stuff. Lyle Lovett is good too... I'm more of an Alt-Country person... ie: John Hiatt. I freaking love Hiatt. He's written for everyone from clapton to dylan. http://www.thejohnhiattarchives.com http://www.johnhiatt.com
I like bluegrass, newgrass, folk, and alt-country... I listen to Union Station, Nickelcreek, or Sam Bush usually at least once every other day or so.
I wish I could have seen Bob Dylan with Willie Nelson. Tickets are under $50 for those shows. I saw Dylan last year, though, but it was so farrrrr.
There was one in ft.myers that I was gunna go to... Why didnt I go to that? Wtf... My lava lamp is hotter than yesterday.
