As of right now I can get nothing done at all! My mom brought down a sewing machine for me to use because the one I had been using is in the shop. The one my mom brought down doesnt work! FUCKER!! I found one I want at Target that does monogramming and such so I have to raise $300 to buy it, but since I can't sew right now LOL I have no idea what I'm gonna do HAHAHA I been selling old stuff on ebay!!!
Well good luck mama!!! Do you know anyone else who can let you use thier's just while you try to raise some $$$$?
when the old one comes out the shop sell it ooooh take the one your mum gave you... pull it appart and sell the pieces... or does that only work with cars :S
That sucks... If you were close to me I could let you borrow one of mine.. I have several sewing machines.. Anytime anyone gets rid of one that works I take it and put it in the attic incase mine dies and then I give them to other people when I have more than 2 in there.. But that sucks
the one in the shop was a loaner, the timing is off BLAH.............. My old vintage one is gonna cost about $90 to fix. I may fix it later but I really want this one I saw the other day!! It is computerized and has like 600 stitches on it!
oh no!!! I bet yer feeling lost without it...i know i would be...I wouldnt know what to do with myself..lol I have an extra one too if you wanna come get it..its only a 3000 mile drive Good luck raising the cash
that sucks....when it rains it pours...and alla that... this is completely off topic, but my mom used to say, "it's raining harder than a cow pissing on a hot tin roof"
interestingly weird visual with that!!!! Speaking of strange peeing quotes, my mom used to say "I have to pee like a Russian race horse". Now what does THAT mean?
I thought my mother was the only one who says that about Russian race horses. Small world. When her (my mom's) machine broke, it was in the repair shop for a long time. Every time she called to ask about their progress on it, they'd always say it was being worked on. After the three month point she got fed up and went in to see what was going on... they hadn't so much as touched it, and it was plain to see. The manager and staff completely ignored her when she tried to call them out on it, so she just took the machine and left. She called the Better Business Bureau on them the moment we got home, but I don't know whatever happened with that. So the moral of the story is, be glad you aren't her! I'm sorry to hear about your bad luck and I wish you the best.
DAMN (about your moms machine) that sucks a lot! I am calling today cuz he said it should be done by tomorrow. I am bidding on a embroidery/sewing machine on ebay that can embroider any picture on your home computer onto any kind of fabric. I hope I win one! If not my mom is gonna put up half the cash for the one I want at Target LOL
If I had to sew by hand it wold take me all day and I wold have to charge $100 for a plain skirt with an applique HAHA and the kids wold drive me nuts. I just called the shop and I can go get the machine today WOOHOO... Fricking $55 to readjust the timing, blah!!
So I got the machine back and as soon as i got it home had to take it back to the shop because it started doing the same thing. He "FIXED" it while I was there and when I got home it started doing the same thing again.............. WTF??? I do not think he fixed it right! My husband had to tighten the belt as soon as I got it home because for some reason that was fucked up and now the timing is off again and we cant get it right. Why wold the thing sew fine for years and as soon as the man at the shop touches it the machine goes all to shit!!!!!!!!!!
That sucks,I have no idea why it would be messing up like that. I wish I had one of those old treddle machines...less things to mess up on it. I had one given to me,but I couldn't get anyone to haul it...such a shame.
