I was wondering if anyone had any ideas they could give me on how to make a plant hanger like this one, possibly made from hemp? Bear in mind I’ve never made anything like this before, and am quite useless at these things. So, if you do have any tips, feel free to talk to me like I’m a three year old. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=28151&item=8192936792&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V
check the sticky with all the various crafty peoples sites... I remember one of them does macromay (i know that is totally spelt wrong, but it is phonetically sound). She could probably give you a heads up!
I've made a couple, it's quite easy. 1) Get 4 strings of hemp, long enough to be the string that'll hang your plant from its hook, then double it. Tie each strand (single length, not folded in half) the way you would a bracelet or necklace, just a basic pattern, for as long as you want the 'hanging' part to be. 2) with remaining hemp, join together (tie) so it's big enough to fit a flower pot. This would be a great place to attach beads and sea shells. Tie a secure knot at the bottom, for this is where the potted plant rests. I hope that makes sense... good luck!
