why does some acid take a different amount of time to kick in than other acid. besides potency, what should we point to? is HOW certain acid was made influential to the come up? is it the "extra" chemicals in the acid? what gives? i'm curious because some friends have been eating some acid from San Fransisco for the past few months and they say it's incredible stuff. one hit is strong, two is very, and three made an acid-veteran friend of mine lose it (in a good way, i guess). anyway, this acid takes THREE hours to kick in. and it's strong stuff, so it has nothing to do with potency . i asked for details and once it kicks in it lasts a good 12 hours or, in the case of 3 hits, even longer--18 hours or so. it's on regular 1/4" squares so it isn't an RC either. they say it's really good/clean. wtf... i've had acid that takes 45 minutes to kick in. i've had acid that takes MAYBE an hour, just over. but never anything near THREE hours. i've also had acid (uber strong!) that had me losing it while i still had the purplegels under my tongue (t+10min breathing, t+15min bursting fractals and aliens coming for me from the sky). thus, acid can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 3+ hours to kick in, despite it all being the same molecule? i don't get this at all. there has to be some explanation. i am so baffled by this.
LSD has a pretty specific effect, so maybe what you took wasn't lsd. If it took 3 hours to kick in and lasted that long from one hit, it's not LSD. RC's CAN fit on quarter inch hits. You're baffled because somewhere down the line you were fed a chemical that wasn't lsd, but told it was.
so what RC could it be then? all these people are saying it's super clean and good. this stuff is coming by the sheet-load directly from san fransisco.... i haven't tried it so i don't know it personally, but all these folk who have eaten acid before said it was the best ever--no nausia or side effects. just clean and strong.... sounds like acid to me, but who knows. and one hit SHOULD last you 12 hours if it's strong.... can you explain why some acid kicks in in 15 minutes? i know for sure that stuff was definitely LSD and it was strong as hell too. geltabs, before pickard was arrested.... anyway, how can we be sure about this? i've had friends who used to eat acid in the 90's and said sometimes it would take up to 4 hours to kick in. were RCs circulating like mad in the 90's already? ....i don't want to buy sheets of RCs....
It sounds like it could have been any of the DOx, or maybe some bromo-dragonfly since it's becoming less rare... Plain and simple, LSD does not take that long to kick in. People thought the DOI I took was "clean and good" too. Acid can kick in fast, but the longest it'll take is shortly over an hour. I mean maybe if you have other drugs in your system it could vary, but not 3 or 4 hours. Most of the dank ass blotter from the 90's was ~125 ug a hit. Not a twelve-hour dose by my standards. If you've taken real L before you'll be able to tell the difference. If it's not L, you won't feel 'pure' or 'at one' with anything, you'll just feel rocked in a trippy way. Also, the absence of a certain kind of detail in the visuals is another sign it isn't L to me. What I would call a "strong" dose isn't ever put on blotters. Blotters nowadays are rarely even above 100 ug, let alone a dose strong enough to have you tripping for twelve hours. That is, of course, unless some profiteering mother fucker lied down the supply chain and now you are the guinea pig for some rc. Are you sure the come up is this long? And that the actual trip is this long? People exaggerate the hours sometimes.
never heard of the DOx chemicals--i'll have to check that out. you say someone who's done acid should be able to tell the difference. i know what you're talking about with the details in the visuals--that's my favorite part about acid more or less. i haven't tried this particular stuff, but everyone who has eaten it has eaten acid before and they didn't say anything unusual about this stuff.... did you notice differences between acid and the DOI you took? doesn't bromo dragonfly last like 70 hours and have negative side effects, or am i wrong about this? also, i've had acid last me as much as 18 hours--usually from a high dose. but i don't think "long" trips point to RCs because i have also tripped a good nine hours off shrooms.... and i know they were shrooms, i grew them myself!
im telling you its these dragonfly hits wether they are the actual chemical or not but i've seen a few posts talking about acid that takes three hour to kick in and lasts for a long long time...
Yes, the differences were the long ass come up that slowly built to a peak that lasted for a while. DOI is an amphetamine so you get a bunch of amphetamine effects from it too like clenched jaw, sweating, shit like that. There were a lot of visuals and they were persistent, but they weren't like LSD. It was more like eating a high dose of MDA or something minus the eye shakes. Also, when you're dosed out on acid, there's a certain feeling of unity and complete contentness (unless you're having a bad trip), and this feeling was absent. Bromo-dragonfly lasts supposedly 12 hours with 100 ug. I haven't experienced it myself so I don't speak from personal experience. How many doses did you take when you tripped for 18 hours? Tripping from shrooms that long can be done if you eat a lot of em. Who the hell knows for sure what people are taking. The way you described dragonfly sounded a hell of a lot like the DOI experience I had- ~3 hour come up, then a build up to a peak, and waves of peaks for a long time. Still doesn't mean we both took the same substance.
i've tripped about 18 hours a few times from acid. here's some bits and pieces, you can skip this if you want: first time was my second trip ever and this was like 4 years ago when geltabs were all over the place. a friend had a sheet of purplegels that he had been eating with friends for weeks. he sold me some and i ate 2 gels on the beach with a friend (he ate 2 too). this was the most intense experience i've ever had and i felt the unity and contentedness like no other. i was crying in the ocean looking up at the clouds and laughing at the same time. i felt the love. this is the stuff that kicked in HARD by the 15th minute after dosing. the visuals were so beyond what i've ever experienced after that.... vines creeping all over everything and the most distinct fractals just bursting outward from everything i looked at. the clouds were tiny dragons flying in the distance--this is when i realized how the details of acid visuals work. the ocean turned completely clear and i saw dolphins jumping all over the place. i was hearing child-like giggling for most of the trip and then helicopters and tons of other shit later. i was visited by entities and monsters and enormous aliens that came down from the sky and their long skinny fingers caressed my body as they moaned and smiled at me. this intensity i am describing began at the 15th minute after dosing and continued at full force for 12 hours. slowly it began to die until around the 18th hour.... i know this was good acid and it must have been STRONG too because i've never gotten close to that ever again. other times i've eaten 3-4 hits of blotter and also have felt the love--the unity. it was definitely acid and it took closer to an hour to kick in. the visuals were good for 8 hours, dying by the 10th hour or so. nearly gone at 12 hours but then i sparked up a monster J and the trip came back at least until the 18th hour. -0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0- anyway, enough stories. ths stuff in question, the stuff my friends have access to from san fran, is on a white blotter with a small red heart and a star-like design surrounding the heart. each hit has the design. on the back it is another print that is colored diff colors. the stsuff takes 3 hours to kick in and one hit is pretty strong--about 10-12 hours. they say 2 is about all you'd want to take. 3 is hell-strong. nobody mentioned cramps, nausea, jaw problems, or anything. they all said it was clean and strong... whatever that means. but the guy who ate 3 apparently had trouble shaving nearly 24 hours later.....
PurpleGel: I wish I had some of those purplegel's you had a while back. Sounds like they were pretty good doses.
i swear man, if i have ever had pure good acid in my life of all the acid i've tried, these purplegels were them. i'm getting waves of tingling down my back just thinking about them right now. wonder why my name is purplegel.... i only took 2. i was thrown into it at full-throttle, with not more than 12 minutes to think about what i had done it before it overcame me.... it transformed my world and my life and then i wrote a short novella about the experience for an english class.... i have yet to experience such an experience again--i've never reached the level of that dose, which was clearly strong (!), accompanied by the most incredible visuals i could ever have imagined, not to mention aural hallucinations. but like you and others have mentioned, i definitely experienced the oneness and vibelike waves of positive energy. of the best stuff i've had since the year 2000, i've eaten up to 3.5 hits and have tripped fairly hard and had wonderful times with great visuals, but have never gotten to that feeling that those gels gave me. i always wonder if it's just a matter of dose or what--i think i'd have to eat 8-10 hits of what i see today to get there? peace.
we had pretty much an endless supply of these in ga (probably still do but im in fl for the summer) and they were definatly not lsd. like you said, they would take a long time to come on and after that ppl were still feeling the effects 10-12 hours later. I took this batch twice then decided to stay far away, they had a very bitter taste when put on the tongue. the trip wasnt very visual, more in the head. they could be the same, but who knows
well i always feel the effects of LSD for at least 12 hours, but that's just me. i trip for a long time on acid or on shrooms (9 hours was my last shroom trip!). acid has lasted me as little as 11 hours or as much as 18. but everything i've ever eaten has kicked in in an hour or less, so it was acid i assume. but this stuff takes 3 hours and that's really bizzare. i don't want to try it. some newbies dosed it too and they had a great time and think it was LSD. i don't see how it is unusual to be feeling the effects 10 hours after eating it--that's pretty normal. the more concerning issue is the time to kick in....
