I don't know how many of you are familiar with The Shaggs, but essentially they were a group of three ordinary sisters who were forced by their father to form a band in the late 60's. They recorded (I think) a couple albums, the first of which has something of a cult following, Philosophy Of The World, which was Frank Zappa's 3rd favorite album. Basically, most people either love it or hate it since it's essentially a mess: they can't sing or play at all. If you enjoy it, it's probably for the honesty and charm, and if you dislike it (strongly) it's because it comes off like what a female Trout Mask Replica would be if you took out the composing and instrumental talent.

I like them, only know a few songs though. My Pal Foot and Philosophy of the world are my favourite songs! I don't know what I like about them, but its certainly fun music!

lol no, thanks... I mean, they're a hilarious concept, like they can't play at all, can't sing, can't dress, can't do anything, and they still do it, thinking they can!

But no I don't like them, they kinda hurt my ears.
