Our house used to be full of animals.. hamsters, rabbits, guinea-pigs, cats, snails, rats... for a short time I think there were about ten animals in residence, not including the fish.

But today we have just one cat left! This pleases my mother, who is extremely happy she no longer is surrounded by fleas and fur, but I am becoming more and more lonely.

I'm determined to get two rats, I've owned many before and they are among my favourite animals. My mother, however, solidly refuses to let anything else occupy my bedroom. Once I've got them, she'll warm to them and refuse to except she ever had anything against them..

So, any devious ideas in your mind? I thought maybe I could shut her in a cupboard while I install them... ;)

Hehehe lucky! If mum knew about my mice, she'de ground me for a year and make me give them away/kill them. I just bought them at the store, along with the cage, wheel, water bottle, and food, when mum and dad were at work. I was so nervous though, cuz if she looked out the bank's (that's where she works) window a floor down from her office, she could have seen us! But whew, we made it, and I took them on the city bus home. I set up in my closet (I do keep it lighted in there though excpet when they're sleeping).

Luckily, I have one of those moms that only come in my room once every 2 weeks if she wants to ask me something. So they're in my closet.

My cat discovered them this morning, so now I keep my bedroom door closed and only let her in my room if I['m there too.

Can you do the same thing, or does she go in your room?
