now poeple reading this right now may think that i am crazy. mabye i am mabye i am not. that is for you to decied. i dont know bout you, but i am againest abortion. bush is againest abortion. kerry is for abortion. that deeply disturbes me. around or under 1000s soldiers in Iraq were killed in this war that lasted a a few months over a year. in his for years in offices( meaning bush) only 1000 or so poeple died becuase of him. is kerry was elected , over 10 times more living breathing , human-beings with a heart beat would die at kerrys hands. kerry is all into stem cell reshearch and cloneing and shit. what do we need that abillity for??? we should instead be putting that money to curing cancer or are-ther-i-tis ( no idea how to spell that one. ) over all abortion and shit is wrong. but kerry is to much ass to relize that. plus, i think that bush got us into this mess , and sure as hell shouldnt be dumping it onto kerry. BUSH needs to clean this mess up. he should be finishing what he started.
thank you that is all i have to say.

OK, I’ll take a stab at it.

You may not consider the, over 10,000 Iraqis who died to be of any importance but I would guess that their families do. They + the 1000 Americans all died because Bush lied. There was never a threat to us from Iraq. I think he simply lied so his friends could steel their oil. Bush’s first act as President was to end funding for research of alternative energies thus making us more dependant on Middle Eastern Oil. Not too bright!

A few cells in a dish simply cannot be called a human being. It never will be a human being. Bush and his advisors are straight out of the 16th century. They ignore all scientific fact. Countless lives could be saved if he would lift this insane ban on stem cell research.

I just read (on yahoo news) that global warming is occurring much faster than scientist had originally thought. Bush says that there isn’t enough scientific evidence that global warming even exists. Over 98% of scientist disagrees with him. Either Bush, a former alcoholic, is right or 98% of the scientists are right. I tend to believe the scientist. Most of the pollutants that and presently creating global warming come from the US. If he had increased funding for alternative fuels instead of cutting it, we would be on our way to a saver and cleaner environment.

Kerry not only understands the problems with the environment, he has a solution.

Bush and his wealthy friends have plundered our nations wealth. What we needed was real health care and a secure social security program that will be around when you need it. Not a tax cut for a few billionaires.

About abortion.- well we disagree. I remember what it was like before we had safe abortions in this country. Women were forced to go underground and have them done illegally. I don’t think having it illegal stopped too many women. They were having them done be non-physicians and some women were dying as a result. Once again, we have to live in the 21st century not the 16th.

These are just a few of the many reasons why I am voting for John Kerry.

    Peace

You're 16 for Christ's Sake... you can't vote. I think that there are a lot of us here who are glad that you still can't.

Maybe when your brain grows a little bit, you might consider more information before you back a Republican Killer Thief.

Bush no thanks, I'm not that stupid. I now believe W will lose a close general election in november to John Kerry. And,it will soon be, like father like son. Where the President can retire to his ranch; and have his secret service detail search for WMD under piles of horse and cow manure.

Kids like you are the reason why people can't vote until they are older. I mean that in the most positive way, honestly. You need to grow and exerience some more of life before you start judging others. Bush recently tried to get legal abortions stopped, he did it while something else was going on (I cannot remember what it was) and the media was all over whatever it was. He had his little pocket expert MD say that there was no reason for ANY TYPE of abortion. He stated that a pregnancy has NEVER endangered a human life, so that reason would be no good either. I am not particularly fond of abortion, especially when it is used as a method of birth control. However, there are many cases where it WOULD endanger the life of the mother, not be a viable birth (major birth defects), be a product of a rape and so on.
I cannot vote either because I am not a citizen and I would be hard pressed to vote for Kerry, but really, anything would be better than Bush, I personally think he should be impeached.

Get out there and do your research. Our president is a compulsive liar, he's really not too bright and he is a puppet of big business. He shoves christianity down our throats, which many find very offensive and I am not finding that I am living in a better america because of him. The US is disliked by the rest of the world and a lot of it is because of Bush. The Beatles kinda summed up how the rest of the world felt about America in "Come Together".
My feeling now is that America is the greatest threat to world peace. But that's just me...

    Here come old flat top
    He come grooving up slowly
    He got joo joo eyeball
    He one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
    Got to be a joker
He just do what he please.

    He wear no shoe shine
    He got toe jam football
    He got funny finger
    He shoot Coca cola
He say I know you - you know me
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free.
Come together right now over me

    He bag production
    He got walrus gumboot
    He got Ono sideboard
    He one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair you feel his disease.
Come together right now over me

    He roller coaster
    He got early warning
    He got muddy water
He one Mojo filter he say one and one and one is three
Got to be good looking 'cause he's hard to see.
Come together right now over me

    Yeah! Come together...

Hemp_boy...you need to get your facts straight before you go trying to influence people's votes.

On abortion I'm for choice. I don't particularly like abortion, I'd never have one done myself, but I also don't think it's my place or anyone elses to tell someone what they can and can't do with their own body and life. Also, if you concider that someone was horribly traumatized while being raped, then got a pregnant and had to have that baby as a reminder of her pain...I think that she should be entitled to have an abortion if she wanted. I say that adoption is the way to go though. Have your baby and let someone else who has the financial stability and a loving home have your baby. There are plenty of parents that are looking and would love to take care of it. I volunteer regularly in my aunt's adoption agency so I know a thing or 2 about that so I'm justified in what I said.

But I will say this: Our selection this year sucks ass. I hate that Bush is our president and he's fucked up a lot but I don't really think we have any better choices. We're screwed this election, 2 dumbasses running...and one that hardly anyone knows about. ~sigh~ You hafta pick the lesser of the 2 evils...I'm not so sure which one that is.

Grendel, I absolutely love that song. My lovely Beatles.

I would say Kerry is less evil. We know what kind of person Bush is... but what about Kerry? During Kerry's campain, he can't be all radicial, or he'd lose. Most democrats are gonna vote Kerry simply because he isn't Bush. He's got to win over the rebublican voters, and that means he has to try and appeal to them too. So if he wins, hopefully we can get rid of all this gobbledygook and find out what he's really all about. I'd much rather know before I voted for him... but we don't have much choice. Anyways, he could turn out to be hip (doubt it) but maybe! That junk awhile ago about him supposedly throwing away Vietnam medals he'd recieved because he opposed the war... well that started me thinking maybe he's not so evil. Also, he tried to cover up, but did a poor job... making me think hopefully he wouldn't be able to scam us, or talk himelf out of trouble if we find out he did.

And commercials for Bush accuse Kerry of trying to appeal to all voters. Actually, I would prefer a president who could unite the nation, and make us all happy, not just one party.

I'm glad I don't have to vote this time... I can't be held responsible [IMG].

But at least vote. Don't boycott the vote. You have a chance to change, (even if only slighty) our nation for the better.

Baby steps, loves, baby steps. [IMG]

you may think that a stupid dutch girl does'nt know how america...blabla..

but hell, how can you think that bush is a good thing for america?
some american friends of me told me that america used to be a country where freedom was a a way of living now...it's a way of dreaming...
and sorry enough, bush kinda helped that one out!
people FEAR america 'cause they look at Iraq and see no longer saddam's regime but bush'...
and 'bout the abortion issue, put youreself in a situation where you are pregnant by rape ,or incest...would you keep the child? COULD you keep the child? could anyone keep a child that was made by the rules of violence, greed and sexual hunger?? and not one feeling of love?
before you ride those things down you chould think 'bout what youre saying. these themes affect more people then you think...

    peace,love and wishfull thinking

i'd just like to remind people that there are much much bigger issues than abortion. how about the 70+% of our budget going toward defense, over spending in general, education reform (no child left behind b.s. for example), privacy issues (patriot act!!!ack!!), separations of church and state (mentioned before, but damn it, faith based initiatives don't belong in the hands of the gov't.... abortions WILL continue whether they're legal or not. it's HER body--not yours.
The abortion issue should not determine a person's vote

Hey Micro, I couln't agree more. Love your picture of Zappa.

I don't know who said that the election is about more than pro-choice, I agree, however, this is just one of the things that Bush is trying to shove down our throats along with all the other born-again values. I certainly do not want to live in a country that is run by these so called "christians" who have zero tolerance for anything they do not like or agree with.

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

one thing i don't understand is, i thought if you've ever done anything illegal (like drunk driving, as bush was busted for) you cannot become president. if this is true, then how did he get into office?

I always thought so. It doesn't make sense. People question me for being anti-war and pro-life but it seems logical to me.

Everyone has done something illegal (most everyone, at least). Felons cannot hold public office, though. And Bush has never been convicted of a felony.
