I really don't know what to say, but I wanted you to know I read your post and I am sorry to hear about your aunt.
She has ALS? That sucks! I'm sorry I couldn't think of a better word but I'm very sorry for her. Be there for her and help her. I'll throw good karma towards you two.

MS is Multiple Sclerosis...a neurologal disorder in which the cells attack the myelin covering the nerves. Which MS does your aunt have? Theres relapsing/remitting, progressive and a few others I can't think of at the moment. I know these things cause I have relapsing/remitting MS and it's not the end of the world. No one usually can tell there is anything wrong with me. Sometimes I don't see well or I stumble or my speech is slurred. Mainly I'm tired a lot. Also too there are ABC drugs to help prevent flair ups. I will keep you and your aunt in my thoughts and prayers.

my mother has relapsing/remitting ms. she's been sick for about 10 years, i guess. there are lots of good meds out there, now, which should really be helpful, especially if she starts taking them early on. the main ones are avonex, betaseron (may have misspelled this one), and capaxone.
