A rally held in Brisbane on 3 June 2005 to protest the Corby verdict attracted just six protesters [1]. About 40 protesters gathered on 5 June 2005 at the Australian embassy in Jakarta calling for Corby to receive the death sentence, carrying placards with words such as '"Corby, drug dealer, must die"' [2]. Nationwide (and international) (see list) rallies are being planned for Corby's birthday on 10 July.

yeh if you want people to respect your laws, you have to respect them. she knew what the law was. she deserves everythig she gets, which is already down from life to 20 years and shes going in for more atm.

its such a load of crap, the sympathy for her. asian countries have really bad drug and crime problems, their drug laws are due to nothing other than actual problems, not the silyl reasons us western countries keep things illegal.

    exactly.

she deserves to die, it's such BS when she says "oh it wasnt mine, it was planted...yea ok..."

Rules are rules, and different countires have different ones, u go somewhere u better fuckin obey their rules or they go free for all on your ass.

How can u guys even talk about this with such a tone?

i could say the same exact thing about the united states, oh, in canada weed is fine, but if i tried to go across the border with it, i would get like a couple years in prison, to me..thats INSANE! so it's basically the same ie. US - Asia.

yeh well no one deserves to die for it, but most people dont deserve their punishments anyway. she deserves what she gets, which is less than death. but if she was sentanced to death then our two countries wouldnt deserve the conflict that would ensue.

She wasn't sentenced to death. She got life in prison. The case has been re-opened.

My grandpa has quite a few assualt rifles and handguns why not a large group 30 or so use the guns to break her free or is there a big army/police force there?

My family isn't especialy known for being sane or peacefull but I try as hard as I can not to beat, mame, or kill dumb ass people. Tho this would be a dumbass country that needs a nuke or 15 of them dropped on its capitol city,

SHE IS A POTHEAD ALL OF US STONER SHOULD SUPPORT HER!
WHAT IF U GOT BUSTED WITH POT AND WERE SENTENCED TO DEATH OR EVERY DEALER U KNOW DID! HOW WOULD UR WORLD BE THEN?

she did not get a fair trial no matter what anyone says. there is no conclusive evidence that the marijuana was hers, and she doesnt deserve to be punished. if you were locked up for smoking pot and they told you that they we're going to kill you i suppose you would just sit there and accept that you have to follow the rules and respect the rules. well fuck the rules and get her out of there.

i have just read through it am and a bit confused by it all, right so she went to bali then on the way back someone put weed in her bag? number one IF someone did put stuff in her bag it must be one of her mates, a stranger proberly wouldnt plant weed on someone cause they might not get it back. so who did it if it wasnt her. number 2 it said she might be getting sentanced to death, thats is so stupid just for smuggling a bit of weed in, in england we dont have the death penality but im some states in america they do, ive read some of the things people get killed for and to me it doesnt seem right to kill someone for having some weed on her.

people who say she gets what she deserves, have u ever done anything illegal? if you didnt get caught go and hand yourself in cause as someone said laws are laws

i hope she gets away with it, pr maybe a light jail sentance

if she is guilty thats harsh prision sentence - but if you can't do the time, don't do the crime ... she knew the score if she got caught same as everyone else, but she thought she'd make a mint and she took the risk

maybe she has been wrongly accused - but surely 4 kilos is a lot to be carrying without noticing?!
