GED! What the hell is up with that.... in the states when you transfer they accept but in Canada they don't. Why is that?

What is GED? This is just me speculating but since I'm a Canadian and have know idea what it is, maybe it has nothing to do with our school system and therefore irrelavant to our system. When I was getting my divorce, my ex told me her diploma for nursing from Ontario was usless when she moved to Lousiana. It did made me feel good that she was getting screwed.

GED stands for General Educational Diploma. Its where you take a test in order to get the equivalent of a highschool diploma, without going to highschool.

"Good Enough Diploma" - basically something you get for writing a couple of tests.

A GED is NOT equivalent to highschool in Canada. Because you can get one without taking three years of FRENCH mandatory you are not allowed to use it in Canada.

I take offense that you are implying I just wrote some tests. I was forced to get my GED because I moved and was not under the custody of my Dad and legally I was not allowed to be enrolled into the school system. In the states a GED is equivalent and just because I didn't take French but indeed took spanish you are implying it is "Good Enough Dipolma" Fuck off before you go putting your foot in your mouth.

From the CANADIAN PERSPECTIVE you took a couple of tests. I'm not discussing what you did or didn't do. And Spanish is not an official language of Canada, spoken by 10% of the population with 50% of the voting power. French on the other hand is. Most of the civil servants are Quebecers.

So frankly, before you go mouthing off to me maybe you should understand when you ask a question you're gonna get an answer. To the Canadian system a GED is like something you get from a diploma mill. OK?

could you apply as a mature student (i don't even think you need a highschool diploma to qualify for that)...? cause i'm guessing a GED is more like adult education then the typical high school experiance...

and the french thing is irrelevent (though some schools will make you take a french course), cause any international student can apply

and my bf never took french either
