I know that people used to be innocent until proven guilty.

Trial by media seems to be the new order of the day.

Does anyone else think this whole affair is all a little bit odd or am I just being overly suspicious?

It could have just been just bad reporting that got updated later ... Maybe we'll never know.

But I've got a very bad feeling about the character references

Whenever you get a murder you'll always get someone who talks about "what a nice boy he was" ... but after you scratch the surface you always find some sort of history.

This just seems wrong though ... the worst thing any of them had done was a caution for shoplifting ... a teacher who loved kids, a parent to be, a sportsman ... all happy with no axe to grind ... All seeming like model citizens so far ... It's just odd.

I didn't want to say this but I do think it's weird. The guys who did this do not fit in the 'usual' terrorist profile. Makes it a lot more frightning anyway. Maybe it's all set up to make us suspicious to our neighbour who is just as normal as you but who might be capable of killing 25 innocent people at random in a tube... Now it's a challenge to remain calm and avoid prejudice taking over.

You know, everyone I know is talking about the way the British people react on the attacks, compared to the American hysterical reactions the British seemed to continue normal life. Thumbs up!

It just doesn't fit does it? I dont trust it completely. A silent war between neighbours? I'm not sure if that was intentional, it's definetly a possibility though, would a govement really go to that extreme though? I'm not convinced yet, I'm hoping we'll know soon enough. It's starting to cause tention everywhere. The BNP are having a field day, NUS is outraged that the BNP have sought to exploit the events of last Thursday for electoral gain. Their leaflet which has been distributed in the local area features a photograph of the bombed bus with the headline 'Maybe now it's time to start listening to the BNP'
