So.. I'm a horror freak. I own about 200 dvds at the moment and I'd say no less than 75% of them are horror (or dark comedy). I just can't get enough! If there's fake blood and guts, chances are, I'm going to love it. I even like cheesy horror movies -- why? Because a bad horror movie usually becomes a GREAT comedy. But, alas, papa needs a new fix. I fear I have seen all of the movies at all of my local video stores. ::retarded puppy dog eyes:: Help? Head cheese, Ganja_Goo
Ohhhh I love horror movies too..I have tons of them myself..I don't know if I can help you any, I'm sure we have probably seen the same ones. But nice to know someone likes them as much as i do
Chicks that dig horror flicks are better in bed. ::blink blink:: I read it in a fortune cookie once. No, really, I swear it, Ganja_Goo
have ya tried any of the japanese crazyness? Ebola Syndrome, Naked Blood, The untold story, Story of Ricky, thats lots of odd fun floating round Japan THeres a Korean (i think) film called Old Boy not stricly a horror but fairly odd and is great fun. Bio zombie's quite fun. Slasher kind, im not to keen on but The Burning, Rosemary's Killer (the prowler) Intruder, Sleepaway Camp (the ending scared the shit outta me) Are all quite entertaining youv most proabably gone thorugh all the cannibal films holocaust/ferox/apocalypse etc etc but theres entertainment there. there some of the films that tend to be in mind at the mo dunno if theres owt new for ya there
That's funny you mention JHorror, Booq, as I just recently began watching a lot of them. I haven't seen Ebola Syndrome, Naked Blood, The Untold Story or Story of Ricky, so thank you thank you thank you! I have checked out: Infection, Suicide Circle (or Club), Phone, Audition and o course the standard ones like Ringu and Ju-on and Dark Water. I loved Old Boy! Totally weird, but totally awesome. I've been trying to get my hands on Battle-Royale, which I'm told is really a superb film. Thanks much Booq! I'll be scanning my local video stores later this evening. Here's a few "gems" I found at Blockbuster: Dead Birds, Dead End, Dead Meat, Black Cadillac, Raw Meat and Malevolence (sp?). They're all in the new release section at my Blockbuster -- not the greatest movies, but pretty damn entertaining for the most part. When there's no room left in hell, the dead shall walk the earth, Ganja_Goo
Oh! Also, the Last Horror Movie was pretty entertaining. Not as good as Man Bites Dog, but still worth a look.
check out these: japanese: tetsuo uzumaki one last call (or anything else by miike) stacy: attack of the school girll zombies funny: undead dead and breakfast cheerleader autopsy dumb: cannibalistic standard horror: bloody bill these are just movies i have on my computer. use bittorrent to get em if your connection is good enough and i have to agree, horror movies that dont take themself seriously are the best
I don't know how 'hardcore' you like your horror, but we rent at a place called "Black Dog Video", notorious for cult classics and hard to find stuff... my g/f and i have seen quite a few pretty hideous and distrubing movies, one that we rented not too long ago was called "Scrapbook", it wasn't so much scary as it was just, well... disturbing. The girl at the store warned us when we rented it... so you know it's gonna be interesting! One scene in particular that my girlfriend enjoyed was when the kidnapper puts a girl in a plastic garbage pail, pours in a bunch of milk, duct tapes the lid on and leaves her in the sun for a couple days... that was a new one for me! Anyways, if you like 'em sick... check out Scrapbook.
Horror movies are my favorite.. Saw freaked me out haha.. I have tons of them on DVD.. Don't know if you've checked this site out or not, but I like it.. http://www.horrormovies.com/
The end of Sleepaway Camp is effing GROSS. lol If you like cheesy horror movies, try to find "Splatter Farm". It's hard to find, but it's THE worst/best. "Troll 2" is also a great one you should check out.
I love them,too.....cheesy,B-Class horror is the best. I love it when they're so bad, they're actually a comedy.
Sleepaway Camp is an all time favorite of mine! Thanks for tips, guys and gals! Mucho appreciated! Mr MiGu I looove Miike's stuff. I barely got through the first ten minutes of Ichi the Killer before I was searching the net to buy it. Big fan of Audition too, but I haven't seen One Last Call yet. Thanks! Uzumaki was F'N weird! My girlfriend is totally into spirals and stuff, so I thought it'd be interesting -- but I had no clue how interesting! When that dude start turning into a snail I flipped! I still have to see Dead & Breakfast. Orgazmik, thanks for the site, I actually haven't ever been there. I usually check out www.bloody-disgusting.com, or, of course, www.fangoria.com earthfluff Scrapbook is insane! I was a huge fan. Kind of like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Ya'll rule! Waaaay too into horror, Ganja_Goo
I am a wimp but like horror movies alot.... I had a gay guy friend who fucking loved them more then life itself.
I like Amicus-style stuff - Twilight Zone things where there really is an element of horror and not "the world goes foom in nuclear annihilation" I also wish to see Cannibal Holocaust. I did the faces of death stuff as a uni student...
I just bought the 2004 version of "Helter Skelter". It's awesome. Much more graphic than the '76 version. Jeremy Davies as Charlie isn't as convincing as Steve Railsback, but he wasn't bad. But the actress who played Sadie was hot! I've still got a boner.:X
