the idea in that Jesus was married is taboo to most christians becase Jesus was sapposed to be perfect and sinless but in his time it was a sin for a jewish man not to be married.

It wasn't a sin not to be married, it just wasn't seen as the ideal situation. Because then your blood line dies out, which is a disgrace to your family. Oy!

Remember what Paul said when he was writing his letter to the church... He said that it is better to marry than to burn with passion (1 Corinthians 7:8-9). Meaning that the situation was really the reverse of what the culture thought. It was better to be celebate, but if one can't deal with such a sentence, it is better to be married than torture yourself with a discipline you can't stick by.

G-d would honor those who could deal with this sacrifice, because then, the celebate person's total focus could be on his ministry to the world, rather than his ministry to his wife (required by scripture, ya know! ;) ).

Some people have fathers from the Jewish culture. Like me. *winks at Colours*

Ummm... It's really kind of an old belief, but it's stuck with me out of habit. You know how we believers aren't supposed to take His name in vain right? The old way of thinking held to the idea that if you wrote His name, it was kind of like breaking the 3rd commandment.

I really don't believe that so much... It's out of habit, and respect for my family's tradition. I hope you understand. :)

Correction comrade trotsky ~ it wasn't a sin for jewish men to be unmarried, it was against Jewish Religious Law for a Rabbi to be unmarried, and Jesus was referred to as "Rabbi", thus indicating he must have married.

The word Rabbi is derived from the word, "Rav". In Hebrew this means, "great", or, "distinguished". The term is used out of respect for one who is well educated in the ancient Hebrew Law (In later centuries, it stood for, "my master"). Considering the fact that the Jewish leaders did not accept their own God, manifested in the flesh, the idea that he was an actual rabbi, adhering to the rules of the land, is preposterous and holds no truth.

Isn't it kind of silly to be laying your later Christian viewpoint upon earlier people of a different religion? You're basically saying Jesus couldn't have been an actual Rabbi because the Jewish men of his day stayed Jewish and didn't see him as the son of God. THAT is preposterous.

I don't think it's necessarily silly. Christianity is derived from Judaism, which was (and still is) based on the expectation of the Messiah. Christians just believe that that promised Messiah was manifested in Jesus Christ.
Everything else pretty much remains the same.

We look at our families and our history as a guide to tell us who they were, and also a bit of who we are. I don't think looking back to our Jewish roots is preposterous at all, but might actually give a broader understanding of its offspring, Christianity.

That is far from what I am saying. The fact that these men did not accept Jesus as God (the, "son" of God is a Trinitarian concept) has nothing to do with it. The point is that the Jewish leaders believed Jesus to be a heretic, blaspheming against their God. Therefore, they would not have ordained him as a rabbi.

Furthermore, the only ones who ever referred to Jesus as, "Rabbi", were his disciples.

Therefore, they would not have ordained him as a rabbi. What Jews of 2,000 years ago would or wouldn't do is purely your speculative rationalization, and far from fact. Fact such as only ones who ever referred to Jesus as, "Rabbi", were his disciples by far outweigh any such speculations, and clearly state JC was indeed a Rabbi. Is such stated fact beyond the ability of blind christianity?
The fact that Jesus was repudiated as the supposed Messiah is evidence of the falsity of much later christian claims made, not contemporary to the time, but 400 years later, as to his supposed divinity. If JC was the messiah, the Jews of the time were the ones to know, validate, and authenticate, not some bunch of irrelevant clowns centuries after the supposed time. But the Jews didn't recognise JC because they knew he was a messianic fraud. Simple. But too much truth for christianity!

Jesus was called a Rabbi because he was a teacher of the law, but the Bible states that he had no formal training in the Temple, which made the people all the more amazed when He spoke. For the Bible states that He spoke as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Thus, He was not a Temple Rabbi.
Also there is nothing in scripture that even hints that Jesus was married. This idea is pushed by those who try to bring Christ down to are level in order to strip away His claims to the Godhead.

The truth is, the Old Testament states that when the real Messiah would appear, His own people would reject Him. This is according to the Old Testament prophecy. But maybe that's to much truth for you.

THE TRUTH IS, the Old Testament prophecies state that the Jews would reject their Messiah, and it would be because of them, He would be put to death.

Isaiah 53:3 He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and WE esteemed him not.
Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgement; and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut out of the land of the living: FOR THE TRANSGRESSION OF MY PEOPLE WAS HE STRICKEN.
The Old Testament Scriptures tell you, the Jews would reject their Messiah and He would be killed because of them. The Old Testament also states, that even though the Jews would reject their Messiah, He would be a bright light to the Gentiles. And yes, this is what has happened. The Gentile nations have imbraced Jesus Christ. And by the Gentile nations accepting Jesus Christ, this fulfills another Old Testament prophecy.

There is not one single shred of evidence (via historical documentation or Biblical account) to prove that Jesus Christ was an ordained rabbi.

Fact: Jesus Christ called the Pharisees hypocrites (Matthew 15:1-10)

Fact: Jesus Christ was reprimanded by the Pharisees for healing a man on the Sabbath day (Mark 3:1-6). This is something a rabbi would not DARE do. In fact, several weeks ago in New York, a fire broke out within the confines of a Jewish community (I do not recall the sect). They flat out refused to control the fire because it was the Sabbath.

Fact: Jesus Christ accused the leaders of robbing his house (Matthew 21:11-13)

Fact: The Jewish leaders believed that Jesus Christ was a blasphemous heretic and they had him arrested ( Matthew 26:46-48, 26:27)
