    Probing hungry eyes
    Search the world
    Wanting to know secrets
    Burnt in saffron
    Mystic images
    Enlightened epiphanies
    Glorious realization

    Sometimes I feel alive
    More alive
    Than the average suburban housewife
    Could ever dare dream

But then there are the times
When one delves far too deep
    Inside oneself
    Or existance in general
    And things invert to trouble
Naivety and curiosity can be dangerous
When coupled with the ultimate truth

I don't know when to draw the line
    Never have
    So I continue to wander
    And go into expedition
    Drugs
    Religion
    Philosophy
    The human condition
    Mad early morning conversation
    Deep and meaningful moments
    Held with complete strangers
    I'll never see again

    A child
    A woman
    A drifter
    A desperate lonely soul
    Miss popular
    Cruel hearted high priestess
    Crafty little dreamer
    Shiftless lazy charge
    Angry stumbling heretic
    Offensive
    Misunderstood
    Mellow
    Hyper
    See-through selfish
    Whole hearted saint

    It seems all that was
Is no more a point of interest
    Guilt rises from familiarity
    Intercepted by hedonism
    Works into the scheme

No matter how far one runs
    Burys into hot aching sand
    Tries to deny
What the psyche can never forget
It all turns back in time

    Origin is my curse
