    -Kill Bill Vol. 2
    -Any soundtrack where Danny Elfman is the composer (Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, most recently the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc)
    -Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
    -O Brother, Where Art Thou
    -A Hard Day's Night

    jazz (old school) - When Harry Met Sally
    jazz (big band) - The Nutty Professor (THE ORIGINAL make no mistake!!!!!)
    rock n roll - Eddie & the Cruisers
    60s rock - Yellow Submarine
    70s rock - The Wall
    80s rock - The Hunger
    90s grunge - The Crow
    90s wtf - Until the End of the World
    00s techno - Lola Rennt
    grassroots - Slingblade
    piano (cute) - Amelie
    piano (massive) - Shine (Rachmaninov piano concerto no. 3 ...yikes)
    psycho trippy guitar stuff - Dead Man (Neil Young)

    oh, and honorable mention to Fiddler on the Roof!

    oh, we are going with soundtracks too, not just score...then i would have to say "Life Aquatic" has a wicked one [mmm, portugise david bowie]

    Ferris Beuler...unfortunatly, you cannot buy the soundtrack...but you can download most of the songs...

    the cliff martinez score for solaris, absolutely beautiful, so deep

    like a few others have mentioned;

    michael andrews for donni darko
    clint mansell and the kronos quarte for requiem for a dream

    also really like abigail meads tracks for full metal jacket, check out the track leonard - its just builds slowly, so dark and atmospheric - it adds so much to scene in the film

    buffalo soliders, i think it was david holmes who picked the tunes. especially like the bit where there mashed in the tank with the 2 hip hop tunes playing, dr octagon - bear witness and handsome boy modeling school - holy calamity (bear witness ii) those tracks fit so well with that bit of the film

    i could go on for ages! ;)

    Off the top of my head, my favorite movie soundtrack right now is for The Coneheads.
