Okay, so I don't drive and I dunno if I shall ever learn or not; I guess sooner or later, I really should just because it's a skill that seems to be considered universal and pretty important. But anyways, I tend to use buses a lot. I tend to think if I'm using the bus rather than driving in a car, I'll help cut down on atmospheric pollution a bit. It would surely be even better if I didn't even use a bus... I do walk lots of places, but of course it's not practical when you've gotta get somewhere fast, say college first thing on a morning. And believe it or not, I've never learned to ride a bike. Anyone got any ideas on a swift form of environmentaly friendly transport that isn't a bicycle? I'm hoping for some imaginative ideas that will amuse me.
Rollercoaster! Heheh.. maybe.. electro-magnetic trains (or whatever they call 'em)? They go really fast and don't burn/use fossil fuels.
Skateboard? Rollerblade? How about one of those electric scooters? You could sit in a cart and have someone else push you along
I can swim...unfortunately, there isn't usually much water on my route to college, or in fact anywhere.
Learn to ride a bike, it's one of our better inventions as human beings. Lightweight, efficient, and you can hook up bags or baskets to carry stuff. You can even pull a small trailer. In addition to that, it has zero emmissions (besides the carbon dioxide you breathe out), and is easy (read: cheap) to maintain, you can do most of it yourself if you're willing to learn. At you're age, I'm sure you could learn to ride, since you're sense of balance is developed, unlike in a small child. Wear pads at first, though, haha. If you refuse to try this, well, walking, skateboarding/scootering, or rollerblading is gonna be your best options.
I think I shall, in fact, learn to ride a bike; it seems like the handiest option. I rather liked McGee's suggestion of horse and buggy, but of course a horse needs food and a place to live. Not to mention the fact that there are very few places where you can legally tie a horse up these days.
I thought about a unicycle and thought that it'd probably be even more difficult to ride than a bike. Then I thought about a tricycle and thought, that'd be cool, but probably slow and hard to steer.
Learn to ride a moped. although they do burn fossil fuel they are a lot more environmentally friendly and get u from A to B nice and fast. Plus, they look good and can always be personalised to be unique. Failing that get a pedal and pop, u pedal some of the way and relax for the rest. Best of both worlds and most charge the batteries by kinetic movement when you do the pedaling. Happy traveling
lol i guess, be there all day just to go up the road, unless u attached a plank of wood to the car and paid someone to keep winding it while ur moving
