Hum... Hi all :) , i am new here, but old in the world as we all... What you all think about the TRANCE? Will this wonderful sound be the psychedelic style of the future?

What is your style of psychedelic sounds???

For me personally Psytrance is great in a club but it's not something I'd buy for home listening

It sounds too generic and refined. I don't like overtly clubby electronica.

But the Trance is not only clubby electronica... its a vast world with all peoples, all countries, all species, all styles, all with one obective... keep on the peace, the love, the union and the respect, in a only one big vibe, only one big energy, only one big frequency...

The psychedelic its a inexplicable thing...

yes i like some trance (eat static is my personal favorite), but in terms of the future, i think you will see the glitchy/breaks/idm/ambient stuff like tipper, kilowatts, deru, kiln, lusine grow pretty rapidly in about 20 years lol

I hope (and think) there won't be one main psychedelic style of the future as I like many and don't feel like picking a favourite. Sometimes I feel like putting on Red Snapper's Prince Blimey or psy like Sphongle or Space Buddah, but at other times I rather have a dose of heavy psychedlic stoner rock like Earthless or Tia Carrera (the band, not the lady :D), or psych blues like Quicksilver Messenger Service, Doors or Jimi Hendrix.

In 1998, one of my favorite bands, Wishbone Ash, released two trance albums. These were made by putting together parts of songs from their catalogue of hits and adding the elctro beat to them. This was a bold move from a classic rock band, and it did not go well. Most fans of Wishbone Ash find this the worst thing the band ever did. I kind of like it, even though trance is not my thing. Here is a short review of the albums. If you are into trance, this is worth checking out.

    Psychic Terrorism - 1998
The biggest complaint about "Trance Visionary" was the lack of the recognizable guitar lines that made the band famous. While the album does contain sampled guitar, processed and looped, it just doesn't cut it with fans who are used to the in-your-face guitar that Wishbone is known for. Even so, fans who attended the Camden Palace show (see the new issue of MOJO) know that "Trance Visionary" live is completely different from the CD.

With this in mind, Mike Bennett and Andy Powell went back into the studio. They added that missing live guitar, used additional musicians, gave it a live feel, and have come up with a new version of the CD called "Psychic Terrorism". For dance aficionados , it's definitely a more "club" mix, but heavy on the guitars".

EARTHLESS!!! well why should one sound become the main sound. as long as it sounds psychedelic freaky groovy and mind boggling to me its allright, whether its freaky fusion, loud psychedelic rock jams or spaced out electronics like DnB, tekno, psytrance of dub like dubstep going strong atm. it makes my life more enjoyable to live, for sure
