Again , I protest IGNORANCE! YEA!!!! If you are going to protest something, protest the thing that is the root of all problems, which is ofcourse ignorance. Think about it, why is one in disagreement with another in any matter. I can prove that it is due to one's ignorance when it comes to understanding another's perspective. For example, why did G Bush go into Iraq? Why did Al Qaida attack USA? why do most people hate gays/lesbians? Why do muslims hate jews and jews hate muslims? IGNORANCE my friend, Ignorance... the one established in knowledge would never act the way George Bush acts or anyone that we see in politics today has acted for that matter.

although i agree with you, i find a fundamental problem with this statement. most of what you say here depends on the fact that all the basic religouse beleifs of the world are based on ignorance..now that i personaly will agree with, however each religouse group would claim the problems are really from ignorance of theyre beliefs.. so isnt intollerence the real culprit?
Well, most of these bullshit wars are religious wars. So, my protesting of religion is the same as my protesting of ignorance. It's the whole "My God is bigger than Your God" mentality...my "belief" is right and yours is wrong...and the scary part is that they are based on an entire world of make-believe : Imaginary lords, imaginary netherworlds, imaginary concepts, imaginary beings, imaginary rewards, and imaginary punishments. And people are DEAD and DYING because of it all. Damn right, it's ignorance.
Spirituality is not stupidity and you have to be intolerant to somethings... like- intolerance to to murders or violence and at the same time you will have to tolerate people who are different than you and are strangers to your ways. What people need is right knowledge and right understanding of things. Developing awareness of oneself I think will help do this, but people just let themselves be ignorant and the world goes round and round again and again... therefore, ignorance is what we need to protest. When there is no ignorance...there is peace.
Yes I'm going to have to jump in and say most wars are more caused by governments and money; blame is placed on religous differences because religion will never be gotten rid of. Governments and money on the other had, if gotten rid of, would give the people more room to express and worship in ways they chose. Religion is a natural wonder of the human brain, systems like authority and classification through money is not. In most wars, a few jerks at the top get profit and power while the masses lose lives. Causualties of stateism and money.
Governments who are based on some moral concept through RELIGION. I'll give you that governments (atheistic as well) are the other major cause of war, but look at Bush and Christianity, Osama and Islam, Moses and Judaism, etc. etc. Slaughters throughout history have been because of Religion. The Government & The Church (symbolic for religion) have destroyed more cultures and generations of peoples than all the individual murders in history put together. Don't think that it doesn't go hand in hand...just take look around. Getting rid of money and government wouldn't help at all...take a look at historical records of various tribes. I am sorry but all indigenous people DID NOT live in peace and utopia. SLAUGHTER has been around since before organized governments or money because of RELIGIOUS BELIEFS and people's views that "god" or the "gods" told them to kill followers of the "other" gods or non-believers.
Oh yeah there would still be war, that's a certainty no matter what. I do think it goes deeper than religion, into a natural killer instinct that is with our animal brain. As for Bush, he claims Christianity to get a mass vote. That man is not a Christian, as well, I'd say over 50% of those who profess to be Christian do so more of social value than honest-to-God belief in it. Same with Osama. Religion is used as a tool by powers that be, (bankers+gov) to fuel hatred for wars. But I don't think the problem is religion itself so much as it's being a tool.
I would like to say you did, but given your post about "who the hell said that", I feel somehow relieved that you did not say it. In either case, I put the 'blame' of making me feel "religion/spirituality is stupidity" on you.
Although the governments have been corrupted by some individuals, if the leaders were established in proper knowledge/goodness/wisdom , whatever system of government we might have... whether that is totalitarianism/ democracy/ communism or monarchy... they would all be working towards the goodness of all humanity. However, the people are just ignorant, the ignorance that they are in is like a disease that takes away these things from us... so protest the stupid ignorance! thats haunting the masses!.
