my favourite republican has to be gore vidal. yes, he stood as a republican against the kennedies in the 1960s when being a republican didn't mean u were a right wing terrorist. the things gore most stands for are: an end to the usa military economy, all troops out of iraq and elsewhere in the empire, a return to a republic and an end to imperial foreign policy, um, what else... progressive taxation, nationalisation of all toothbrushes and toilet paper, free abortions in every classroom to all underage mothers, and homosexuality 2 be openly preached in all schools (get them be4 they're 7 is the pedagogical maxim) and putting intolerable pressure on all straights to become gay. i think that's all.
