Willy Wonka and Brownies

Made some brownies yesterday, then ate em up with some friends and went to see The Chocolate Factory. One of us opted for LSD and only had a small amount of the brownies, with the remaining four of us splitting the rest of the batch. It kicked in around the start of the movie and I was in the most intense fantasy land until it was over. Much better and more sustained than brownies I've had before. I was REALLY high for 4-5 hours. Awesome. Just wish I had bought a drink, the cottonmouth was unbelievable.

brownies usually last me longer. 10 hours or so. how much did you dose?

 

i was going to do the same thing but didn't feel like dealing with the crowds. I'll wait a few days.

 

Speaking of, does anyone have a real good recipe?

 

Making cannabutter and substituting it for butter in a packaged brownie mix is always fastest, and usually tastes pretty good.

 

I've been meaning to make brownies for the longest time.

On another note, how was the movie? I can't imagine it being better than the original.

 

I didn't eat the brownies until about 8 PM and ended up going to sleep still high around 1:30 or 2 AM. The high really kicked in when the movie was just starting, around 9 PM. I felt the high start to wane a little bit before hitting the sack, but I felt peak effects for probably around 4 hours, compared to no more than a half hour with a decent bong or blunt session.

I made the brownies earlier in the day using 1/4 ounce of good weed in a single batch, then split the whole thing five ways and gobbled it down.

i used two pots (one on top of the other): boiling water in the bottom, and melted the butter in the top, than just added the bud (after grinding it down), and simmered it for like 15-20 minutes at real low heat. I used a little extra butter to make sure all the THC was absorbed and to compensate for evaporation and taste loss.

 

it was most certainly fun...except driving there and back in the rain(i hate driving in the rain, especially at night)...that was a little stressful

the movie was awesome, the factory was almost overwhelmingly fantastic in the state i was in

the part leading up to factory was good as well, but watching charlie open up the bars that I already new weren't winners was almost unbearable...lol...i remember trying to look away and concentrate on the little kid babbling in the row behind me..
