I just noticed today that I have a lump on my neck, running down the right side toward the back, its painful to touch, like a bruise... and is about the size of... I dont know, a bit smaller than a malteaser.... any ideas???
well my brother had a bump thing like that on the left side of his neck and he was going to go to the doctor but within the week it went away... he actually had two, the one was much bigger and red and nasty
uhhh I say see a doctor if you have insurance or healthcare or whatever... if you don't wait it out a few days then see a doctor....
lol, I dont live in america dude, dont need insurance to see a doctor here. Thanks for the advice, I might go see a doc. I used to get cystic acne, and the dermatoligist I went to see told me that fluid collects in the glands if youre prone to it, I think it might be that, but if anyone has any other ideas I would be more than greatful to hear them!!!
yeah that's why I said or healthcare or whatever, I know we have the worst healthcare system but I wasn't sure how much better Australia's was I think you may be right about the acne stuff my brother has all sorts of acne and stuff... he also has a sist on his forehead that likes to randomly grow but usually it's just pimple-sized-ish
It's possible that the lump is just a collection of fluid (is that a cyst???). My friend used to life weights and he had fluid build up under the skin on his hand. I smacked it really hard one day and it went away. That was followed up with me being pummeled...lol.
If you had cystic acne before then yeah, it probably is a cyst. It could also be a boil or a really long ingrown hair (i've seen it happen...luckily not on me though!).
Sounds like it could also be a lymp node. Could mean you have some sort of virus or infection going to work on ya right now. Probably something to see a doctor about.
