Who is one person in your life who has made a positive influence on your life?

My choice is my boyfriend/best friend Pat, he helped me see that my life is worth living, and that any amount of pain can be eased with the love and compassion that humans express.

the members of the local 'youth community service group'. they are a collective body, which counts as one, right? anyway, theyve shown me that people who are considered to be educated and 'worldly' have the potential to be the biggest dumbasses of all. and also that, despite all your best efforts, your last name is all that matters(at least in this local society).

wait, scratch that. my girlfriend (of 16 months) has taught me that in a relationship, one should seek first to be a friend, then work on bein a loverman!

    Positive influence?

    hmm...

I would guess... me mates, especially Doris, who always took and takes time to talk to me and share her optimistic nature with me... even though she's busy being school president, model un president, class president, etc etc etc... lovely girl.

Ofcourse, there is also my brother, who brought me to my musical tastes, and helped me explore life a tad more.

My cousin Rosie has been my biggest influence. She is my dearest and closest friend and we have shown each other so much.

Well my mom and by best friends oviously...

But more specifically...I had this teacher in grade 9 who taught me GEO and he was the first teacher ever to treat me like I was not a failure just because my grades were not great. He was really funny and made fun of everyone in the class, me especially. Everytime we did world issues presentations he would get really into what I was saying and we agreed on alot of matters...Then when my ma met him he said all these great things about me to her and always seemed to believe in me, through the insults...I started to believe I could succeed in school because of him, and moreover step up and make a difference in the world...

George W. Bush. If it weren't for him, i would have never deviated. Back when he was running for office, I was economically comfortable, and always had been. I wanted to go into the military. I belived that the best way to be was to be just like everybody else. Bush killed the economy. So i was no longer living in luxury. He started wars.
All of that was such a shock to me..
But it awoke me and brought me to my senses. And turned me into a deviant leftist activist (who is ashamed of his former self)

The person who has influenced me the most is..

    dun dun dun!

Moby. Although I've never met him, I still connect with his ideals/beliefs, and find that hes very compassionate. And with his essays, interviews, and journal entries, I've found that theres always a positive way to live.

    Oh yes. Him.

Not only has he influenced myself, (you have helped me find faith in moby.. that sounds somewhat cheesy but in an oddly good way :p )

George W. Bush has had an influence on me.

    A negative one.

I also lend a hand in supporting everyone in Iraq and Afghanistan, even though they shouldn't be there. They can't help it. Doctor's orders
