Reputable/respectable dealers are hard to come by in my area, but I got a hold of one the other day and said he could do $50 for an 1/8 of beasters. I told him I would get back to him...First off, what the hell are "beasters"??? Never heard that terminology. Secondly, I used to be able to get blunt weed at 20 an 1/8, but he got out of it. Life is tough in Northern Ohio.
Beasters are a type of mids, I've heard something about Beasters being some sort of Indica strain but I'm not shure. Where I live (Central Ohio) an eigth of Beasters costs only $25, they're what I usually buy. Its pretty good cannabis.
around here and 1/8 of shwa is 20 mids are 25 and nugs are 50...we get some pretty good bud up here (wisconsin...)
^wisconsin represent.. but neway in no way are beasters mids 50 an eigth is good i guess. beasters are aka bc bud, bc dro, etc etc. its good indica, and thas a fine price
Blind Melon, where are you in Central Ohio? I'm in Knox county. Anyway, Beasters is marijuana grown in Canada and is reputably good. Around here it's know as the lows of the highs. Goes anywhere from 35 to 50 an eighth.
Blind M., an 1/8 of beasters for $25? That's pretty damn good considering what I am probably gonna end up paying for this stuff. I heard if you can get actual beasters for $40 you're doing well. You got a good hook Blind M. So unless I find someone better within the next...24 hours looks like I'm paying 50 an 1/8, because I'm almost out of my current supply. Northern Ohio usually tends to be high in prices for some reason. Figures.
Chames it would be worth you driving down to Athens ohio. College towns always have the best prices. And to the original question, Beasters traditionaly was bc bud(brittish columbia) indica. Its the lowest grade bud that i will smoke. Take a good look at it before you buy it. A lot of times its not fully cured, so 3.5g would actually be 3g if dried properly. If your paying 50 an eigth, make sure it weighs out
DBW, Athens is a great place to pick up bud, best place in Ohio for sure. Some real good stuff flows through there and at a good price. But for me pulling an 8 hour round trip just isn't feasible right now and especially while school isn't in session. But whenever I'm down there visiting friends I always get a great hook. When you say take a good look at it to see if its "cured" properly, what exactly am i looking for? I know how to pick out a good bag from a bad one but I don't know what you mean by cured. Thanks.
Beasters are mass produced and shipped out often too soon after harvest without being cured properly (i guess dried would be the best way to put it) Moisture adds weight
Yeah, another plus is I personally know the hookup and we're the same age, hes the younger brother of a grower/dealer, I've smoked with him before and he's never failed me or ripped me off. I'm not far from OSU or Otterbein College so that may be giving me an extra advantage. I had no idea that I have been getting weed so cheap, makes me very thankful. I should be getting an eigth of Beasters within 2 weeks or so, If this thread is still being looked at I'll post a pic if I get the eigth in buds.
westerville/gahanna resident here, and generally "beasters" refer to very high mids comparable to nugs, but usually slightly less potency and a couple of seeds every once in a while. go anywhere from 25-40USD per eighth. course, i had a very reliable (although bizarre) dealer for quite some time who would sell actual nugs for 40-45USD depending on how good they were, and they got consistantly better over time. he's off now though.... at any rate, 50 for an eighth of beasters is highway robbery, unless you are actually getting nugs and either the supplier isn't quite right in his lingo or the terms are simply used differently up there
chames, i'd be willing to bet that yellow springs sees some of the best stuff in the state, with any tiny place out in the sticks taking second place, and the three c's (Columbus, Cinci, Cleveland) taking the third....although any college town like athens should have quality stuff. but the reason you get quality is that it's locally grown, and its locally grown everywhere. its just a matter of how good the grower is. obviously out in the sticks you're going to have nearly all homegrown, and given the agricultural tendencies of country folk i'd be willing to wager that it's what helps the tiny towns have some of the best pot (when you can find it)
definitely not. for example, on my trip to ontario last summer i picked up a quarter of some homegrown in stratford for $45 canadian, and while it did have a few seeds and didn't look like the best stuff in the world, it had a SHITLOAD of resin - so much so that i couldn't keep a joint of it lit past halfway without relighting it. that was back when i could smoke an eighth a day of the shitty stuff i got back home, but this stuff got me faded from just a few tokes. the quarter lasted me a whole week, which was unheard of for me back then. it also tasted as good, if not better, than a lot of the nugs i've smoked here. definitely beasters, if not nugget quality, but it was technically cheaper than most of the standard mids you get here.
Beasters is the name for mass produced nuggets. NOT mids. They are usually heavily indica, sometimes slightly compressed. The crystal production is good but not high. The term originates from BC bud's; instead of saying bc'ters, you say beasters. Most people get seriously ripped off on beasters unless they live close to the border. I'd take a guess and say most of you pay 40-50 for an eighth of beasters.
